Because I don't want to configure a new clothing anytime I want to wear something. Bodymerging is much easier and faster.
And my experience is PAC3 is also needing bodymerging because (for example) the hat looks like it just levitating above the player's head without bodymerging... Or because I not do something right?

Textures are fixed, why not just use pac3?

Sadly you're right. It's not bonemergeable and it spawned in without texture for me...
