List and Alert about things on the map with custom search filters. (for 1.4 See Ctrl-F)

Obsolete
This mod is obsolete with 1.4, replaced with these: Ctrl-F and Custom Alerts. The search functionality of this mod has been made into a framework for other mods to use: TD Find Lib.

Filters

Set up filters for nearly any detail you want. If you want more filters, request it!

The main category can quickly filter down to things you want. Literally everything is shown for 'All' - even every patch of grass. But 'All' also searches inside inventories, while other categories only shows things directly on the map.

Items that match *every* filter are shown in a list. There is a 'Filter group' filter that can search for 'any' filter.

When setting filter options, the selection is narrowed down to things that exist on the map. The checkbox "Only show filter options for available things" can be turned off to show EVERY option ( which can be a ridiculously huge list)

The list shows items on the current map - toggle the 'All maps' to search, yknow, all maps.

Selected items highlight which filters any of them match.

List

The list has a few buttons:
- Select all ( up to 80 that the game supports )
- Refresh: when the list is made, is it not re-made until the filter changes, or the tab is re-opened. Click button to refresh it.
- Continuous refresh toggle: refresh every second

The list supports selection, double-click select all, drag-selection and right-click to jump to.

Custom Alerts

Alerts which show up to notify you when your custom list has any items (or at least X, or = X, or < X items)

Also, it can wait X seconds to alert, so temporary problems don't alert you immediately.

Also, you can set it to be a critical alert - red and pulsing.

Alerts made for all maps of course alert for all maps. Alerts made for a single map bind to the current map and alert that map only.

Note: Alerts are processed at regular intervals, so set up the filters to be smart, and not too slow. Set the list category to only things that can match - 'All' is definitely too broad. Set the filter order from top to bottom to quickly narrow down the list. The lower filters are only checked if the item passes the previous filters ( especially the Name filter, it's slower than other filters )

Tedious detailed Notes:

Swapping maps clears the Find window, that's how game works. /shrug

Corpses/"Minified Buildings" are weird. They are technically containers for the Person/Building. So since you probably want to match on the "contents", List Everything applies the filter to the "contents". But the location is the "container", so filters are applied for either the "container" or the "contents". So it will always pass "No" filters as one of them will probably pass. Other filters like 'Health%' Are weird since a 0% Colonist is stored in a 100% corpse.

Selected items highlight what filters they match - but this doesn't work for Inventory items, since you're not selecting the things in the inventory.

Filters like area/zone are filtered by a single position, not accounting size of the thing.

Loading a filter does not EDIT it, it makes a copy, re-save it if you want.

'Saved filters' are stored between games. Alerts are saved for the current game. Re-making alerts for new games is quick enough by loading filters one-by-one and making alerts for each.

Certain slider values like 0 - 0.5 are visually bugged in the base game - the slider is actually fully functional but the drawn positions of the sliders is off.

Certain filters don't work for 'all maps' - area/zones that only exist on one map. They are disabled when 'all maps' is checked on.

Hoping someone will continue this mod. I can't find some kind of legendary thing for royalty in all my stockpiles, but my traders say it's there somewhere to sell.
