SCP-001: When Day Breaks

Descripción
It is the year 2371, the SCP-001 event is about to start. The Sun's heat has risen to unimaginable levels. SCP-001 is a Apollyon class SCP that depicts an event about the Sun casting an orange shadow over Earth, and melting people in the area of the Sun's rays into goo creatures that retain their intelligence.

In this scenario, the cure is the amount of time until the 001 event ends, you must kill everyone in a certain amount of time.

The event is caused with no warning although the page is written oddly so its tough to get information out of simply enough it was alot for the foundation to realize it was any sunlight at all that would kill you even what reflects off the moon

That was a problem I had when making this, but I decided to go with the idea that the sun gradually starts to heat up.

In concept, a great idea, but realistically speaking, wouldn't nearly the entire population of the Earth be almost instantly "afflicted"?
