Overview:
  • This mod is designed to be a risk-centric and world-progression based skill mod. This is not a traditional class mod. The skills provided by this mod, which can be seen below, can be found as you progress through the world. Single-use altars exist throughout the world that when activated will randomly grant the user a skill. Additional trade-altars also exist to trade in skills for their skillbook form to move skills around in the party. The locations of these altars can be seen in the images; the black squares refer to the trade-altars.
Skill-Details:
  • None of these skills have memory requirements nor school-use requirements. Damaging skills scale more closely with equipped weapons.
  • All the skills provided by this mod possess some inherent risk in using them, hence the "chaotic." Most of the skills are situational and cannot be cast without weighing the risk in doing so.

  • A projectile which deals damage and applies Aged for 3 turns.
  • Aged:
    • Armor piercing damage over time and debuff. Progressively decreases strength, finesse, and movement. If the non-player and non-ally target dies while under the effect of Aged, they return as a monstrous vengeful spirit bent on killing the caster.

  • Dash forward in a straight line, dealing slight damage and applying Contrition on all targets in your path for 2 turns.
  • Contrition:
    • Deals 5% of afflicted's max health as damage per skill cast. Upon the afflicted casting a skill, Contrition spreads to all nearby characters currently unaffected by Contrition within 2m for 1 turn. Pierces armor.

  • An area-of-effect which applies Displacement and Erratic Wisp to all targets and the caster, each for 2 turns.
  • Displacement:
    • -40% Air Resistance
    • While in combat, swaps the position of any character under its effect with Displacement's caster at the end of the character's turn.

  • A targeted skill that applies Flux which increases resistance to Fire, Water, Earth, and Air along with buffing Movement and Dodge, then a final debuff. Cleanses target of Stunned, Frozen, Slowed, and Petrified. Cannot be cast on character already the under effect of Flux.
  • Flux:
    • Beginning Turn: +25% Resistance | +50% Movement | +15% Dodge
    • After 1 Turn: +15% Resistance | +25% Movement | +10% Dodge
    • After 2 Turns: +5% Resistance | +5% Movement | +5% Dodge
    • After 3 and 4 Turns: -80% Resistance | -100% Movement | -100% Dodge

  • A targeted skill that applies Lagged on the target and Backlash on the caster, each for 2 turns.
  • Lagged:
    • -50 Initiative | -25% Movement
    • Each turn while in combat, causes the unit under its effect to teleport back to their initial starting position that turn.
  • Backlash:
    • -4 Initiative | -10% Movement
    • 50% chance to fall under Lagged's teleport effect.

  • A targeted skill which deals damage of a random damage type. The target becomes progressively Marred.
  • Marred:
    • Beginning Turn: Applies Diseased for 1 turns.
    • After 1 Turn: Applies Blinded for 1 turns.
    • After 2 Turns: Applies Decaying Touch for 1 turn.
  • Any characters facing the Marred target within 5m will become terrified at the beginning of the afflicted's turn.

  • A targeted skill which applies Returning on the target and Reprisal on the caster, each for 2 turns.
  • Returning:
    • Reflect 35% of damage taken.
    • Targets that attempt to basic attack a unit with Returning will become afflicted with Reprisal, unless they are already under its effect.
  • Reprisal:
    • At the beginning of the turn while in combat, a random 2m radius surface of Fire, Water, Web, Poison, or Oil will spawn under the afflicted character.

  • A projectile which deals damage while applying Suffocating and Acid for 1 turn. Additionally, has a 25% chance of applying each of the following for 1 turn: Poisoned, Burning, Muted, Blind, Fear, Slowed, Cursed, Stunned, and Weak. Each effect has a 15% chance of applying to the caster.

  • A tri-area-of-effect which deals damage while applying Polarizing Sear to targets and Dichotomized to the caster, each for 2 turns.
  • Polarizing Sear:
    • A higher-damaging Burning that is not resisted by magic armor or purgeable.
    • Creates a 3m radius of ice below the target upon application.
    • Target bleeds a 2m radius steam cloud upon taking damage.
  • Dichotomized:
    • Reduces Fire and Water Resistance by 20% and creates a 3m radius of fire below the target upon application.

  • A targeted skill in which the caster gains the status of Snatcher and the target becomes afflicted with the status of Snatched, each for 3 turns. Characters under the statuses of Snatcher or Snatched will permeate in a 6m area-of-effect the Area Snatched status at the beginning of their turns to all surrounding characters that are unaffected by Snatched or Snatcher. The source character will also gain Area Snatcher.
  • Snatcher/Snatched:
    • +/- Strength, Finesse, Intelligence, Constitution and Wits based on caster level.
  • Area Snatched:
    • -1 Strength, Finesse, Intelligence, Constitution and Wits. Ignores armor.
  • Area Snatcher:
    • + Strength, Finesse, Intelligence, Constitution and Wits depending on the number of targets affected by Area Snatched on a given turn.
    • If no characters are in range to be affected by the Area Snatcher, the Snatcher loses 1 Strength, Finesse, Intelligence, Constitution and Wits along with a -2 AP recovery for 1 turn; losing the Snatcher status as well. Only applies to the original caster.

  • A targeted skill which applies the 8m aura of Warped to the target and the 8m aura of Warper to the caster. Characters within the aura-effects of Warped or Warper will receive the status Reckless or Cautious each turn.
  • Warped:
    • -10% Dodging | -10% Critical Chance | -10% Accuracy | -5% Damage
  • Warper:
    • +10% Dodging | +10% Critical Chance | +10% Accuracy | +5% Damage
  • Reckless:
    • +10% Damage | -20% Physical Resistance
  • Cautious:
    • -10% Damage | +20% Physical Resistance
