I often use a multi role such as the F-35 cause they do that. Works great for the mission where you fly down the canyon to the airfield as there is a mix of air and ground targets or the fleet destruction mission. Which with that i often use a aircraft with pulse lasers.

why multirole figheters are the best, plus 30mm gau overated, has a lot of friendly fire incedents and terrible visitbility irl.

....but I can dogfight those guys in the A-10 just fine though? It's rough, admittedly, but perfectly doable.
