Lord Silver's Crusade

Description
Lord Silver, a famed Empire lord, has launched a massive campaign. He aims to destroy you. Many templars and other Empire fanatics flock to his banner. They believe that victory is assured. Yet, that is not an unreasonable presumption. Lord Silver has quite the force at his disposal and only quick action and tactical mastery shall see you through.

This is something of a survival map. You have eight minutes to build up a defence before the attacks begin. You can reduce the number of attacks by destroying gateways. I recommend researching a beast den straight away and then building an arena to train beasts. After this, I built two garrisons and surrounded them with bombards and gargoyles. Remember to research avarice/blood money + prison for a good gold income. Much of the map can be explored. Several areas have alternative entrances.

There are two ways to win:
The aggressive way (my way), destroy the keep before the main wave.
The passive way, build a good defence and then destroy the final wave.

N.B. The Empire currently picks the wrong theme. I cannot fix this without changing the map format, which I may do soon.

Ah. I used a 'brimstone chain'. When the brimstone detonates, it destroys nearby obsidian which chains to reveal a new area. If I remember right, the mana/incantation shrine is the final area to reveal.

A very nice map and a good challenge, thanks for that! And quite a few things to explore.

Just one question: To the lower right there seems to be some secret, there are some diagonal spaces in solid rock. How can I get there?

Well the inhibitor is in the main castle it is just that there is an optional route for those who explore a bit further. Yes, I can imagine that vampires would trivialise it...I was considering disabling them. My eventual thoughts were something along the lines of, 'vampires take a while so it is just another strategy rather than an easy way to win'.

Glad you liked the map. It was my first time attempting to use mightyscript for a siege map.

As soon as i had vampires, the game became very easy.
What i found a bit strange was that i only had to destroy the inhibitor to end the game - without going into the main castle.
Overal nice map. Took me 2 hours to complete.

A minor update. I added some new text and fixed a couple of waves which were not activating. Large attack timers have been moved back slightly to compensate.

This map is Not intended to be easy. It is certainly possible to complete, however. It may take a few attempts if you are a slower or inexperienced player. The aim is to create a map which provides a player with a constant challenge without spamming units/defences.
