Battle Wizard (Sword/Crowbill + Fireball)
Some tricks in case you don't know......
Charging abilities (Foot Knight, Slayer, Handmaiden, Zealot, Battle Wizard) have couple special properties:
  • When you hold your career skill button (F by default), your charging path or landing position will be shown.
  • You are not invincible during charge. Hold the mouse right button when you start charging to block. However gas, fire, bullet, vomit, vortex will still hurt you.
  • During the charge, you can click mouse right button to stop charging.
  • All career (except Handmaiden with invisible talent) should avoid charging right into the horde. You will go down quicker than you thought.
  • Only Foot Knight, Handmaiden, Zealot can active charge in the air. Battle Wizard could wiggle your camera while holding the F button to reach some weird places.
  • You can use your charge while reviving teammates or healing. Use it to create some spaces.
  • All abilities/item that can stun boss will pull their aggro to you. So if you are not ready or your teams mates can kite the boss pretty well, don't use your ult mindlessly.

Talent
LVL 5
30% extra heal also works on Natural Bond, very helpful for sustainability since you cannot process heal&vent circle easily.
LVL 10
Some extra damage for melee time. Last-standing damage reduction and Lingering Flames are underwhelming unless you are playing True-solo.
LVL 15
Level 15 talents totally depend on your playstyle. Buring Vigour + two red items can let you have 100% block cost reduction, which is very useful if you are surrounded or prefer melee most of the time. Rechannel can let your full-charge Flamestorm or Conflagration twice when hordes coming. Centered should only be chosen if you are still not used to vent manually.
LVL 20
Depends on your choice of melee weapon, different level talents should be applied.
Stagger to regen should be used with 1h sword. Use the heavy attack after you gain the attack speed boost from swift slaying. When you are using the heavy attack, the 2nd and 3rd clan rats/ fanatics you hit will give you 1.5 temp hp each. But the swing that kills them will not regen you.
Kill to regen should be used with melee weapons that can kill elites fast. The crowbill from DLC has high attack speed and armour penetration damage, should be paired with this talent.
LVL 25
Burnout can let you use career ability twice in 5 sec. You can use it to catch up team/enemy much faster, or stun multiple elites/bosses twice. To clean hordes, hold your block, run-in and run-out, with your ability the hordes will chase you on the trail of flame and die.

Melee weapon

In current patch 1h sword can be considered as a top tier melee weapon. Your heavy attack can stun most of CW's move except his running overhead attack. High stamina, high dodge ability, super versatile. Use the Heavy-Heavy-Light combo to deal with armour units.
Crowbill is the most popular Sienna melee weapon. High AP damage, high attack speed, high dodge. The only problem is that it has super low infantry damage with low cleave and reach. But they are not big deal after the dodge change in BBB, and most of the time you will deal with hordes with your staff. When fighting super armour units (CW, lords), use heavy attack since light attack damage will be reduced by super armour.

Breakpoints:
For 1h sword:
Heavy-Heavy-Light overhead combo kill SV with all headshots.

For Crowbill:
Three shot-bodyshot SV with heavy attack
Four shot-bodyshot SV with light attack

Range weapon

Fireball has great balance at burst damage, CC, range and heat/damage ratio. Non-charge fireball has the highest DPS, while charged fireball has better heat/damage ratio with better AP with less CC.
Most of the time non-charged fireball is used to clean hordes when you are low heat and burst boss if you have a strength potion. Charged fireball is used to clean hordes when you are high heat and damage boss if you don't have a strength potion.

Breakpoints: 10% range damage(passive), 20% chaos, 20% infantry
Three shot-bodyshot Mauler with left click.

Necklace

Extra health and block reduction. With talent and melee, you have 100% block reduction and 30% extra heal, and so Natural Bond can show her full mighty.

Charm

To reach the breakpoints mentioned above.

Trinket

Best choice if your team decide to take grim.
Battle Wizard (Mace + Bolt)
Some tricks in case you don't know......
Charging abilities (Foot Knight, Slayer, Handmaiden, Zealot, Battle Wizard) have couple special properties:
  • When you hold your career skill button (F by default), your charging path or landing position will be shown.

Talent
LVL 5
The biggest weakness of bolt staff is the long charge time and slow trajectory. 15% charging speed helps a lot. 30% extra heal is also viable if you want to regen more.
LVL 20
The light/heavy sweep of mace has "tank" property. It will stagger hordes easily. Stagger to regen will heal you very fast.
Kill to regen should be used with melee weapons that can kill elites fast. Mace have decent elites damage but you will kill have of them with your range weapon. It is not recommended.

Mace is under a weird situation in the current patch. It has less AP damage than crowbill but more CC and infantry damage. It has less horde clean/stagger than 1h sword but better armour damage and easier to perform a headshot. But overall a very solid choice of melee.
For horde, use combo Push attack-Light sweep-Light sweep untill Swift Slaying is up. After that, use Push attack-Chain heavy sweep
For elites, chain Light overhead-Block cancel deals highest DPS.

Breakpoints: 10% infantry, 10% skaven
Two shot-bodyshot Marauder with light overhead
Three shot-headshot SV with light overhead
Four shot-bodyshot SV with light overhead

Range weapon

Bolt staff has unparalleled advantages when fighting hordes that line up. The rest of roaming units, you should melee them with the high heat/high damage you just built up.
When fighting lined-up or high concentrated hordes, use uncharged spears. You can penetrate 3~4 fanatics. With the highs fire rate, you will clean the field in seconds.

You should never use sparks, unless you don't have time to aim/charge spear to interrupt leech/assassin.

Breakpoints: 10% range damage(Passive),10%skaven, 10% chaos, 20% infantry
Level 1 charged spear:
One shot-bodyshot all mobs.
Two shot-bodyshot assassin.
Three shot-bodyshot leech/gas/storm specials.

Level 2 charged spear (by default):
One shot-headshot SV/ratlin/firerat.
Three shot-headshot CW.

Level 3 charged spear:
One shot-bodyshot leech/gas/storm

Necklace

Extra health and block reduction. With talent and melee, you have 100% block reduction. Natural Bond should be replaced with other trait if you are struggle staying alive.

Charm

To reach the breakpoints mentioned above.

Trinket

Best choice if your team decide to take grim.
Pyromancer (Sword/Crowbill + Beam)
Some tricks in case you don't know......
Tracking missile abilities (Pyromancer, Waystalker) have couple special property:
  • Both abilities are tended to go for enemy's head. However Burning head can only hit one elite or special unit.
  • You can manually select your target by holding your career skill button (default F). If the outline of a unit is red, your career skill will hit it. You can also "see through the wall" with this trick since you can aim enemies behind objects.
  • To make sure to headshot your target, throw your ability up the sky.

Talent
LVL 5
This build is focusing on clean hordes with your staff, don't need the extra attack speed, so we choose Natural Talent.
LVL 10
Increase your venting rate (more or less).
LVL 15
This build is focusing on clean hordes with your staff, don't need the extra attack speed, so we choose Blazing Equilibrium
LVL 20
Hitting enemies to regen is currently the most versatile level 20 talent. You will regen 1 hp even if you hit one enemy.
With this build, Pyromancer should prioritize cleaning hordes with your staff other than taking care of elites, so I don't choose kill to regen talent.
LVL 25
With much long CD on her cooldown, the damage circle of pyromancer should be clean horde - vent until you are low in health - use your ult to regen.

Melee weapon

Breakpoints:
For 1h sword(default):
Heavy-Heavy-Light overhead combo kill SV with all headshots.

For Crowbill:
Anti hordes/default:
Three shot-bodyshot SV with heavy attack
Four shot-bodyshot SV with light attack

Anti SV: 10% skaven, 10% armour
Two shot-bodyshot SV with heavy attack
Four shot-bodyshot SV with light attack

Range weapon & Charm - Anti hordes

For beamstaff mechanism, see the Appendix part.

Breakpoints: 10% range damage(passive), 20% infantry
One blast kill clan rats
Two blasts + 1 tick of DoT kill fanatic
Three shot-bodyshot SV and all specials with instant snipe

This setup is less heat-intensive to deal with chaos horde. However it takes longer to kill SV/ratlin/firerat.

Range weapon & Charm - Anti SV

For beamstaff mechanism, see the Appendix part.

Breakpoints: 10% range damage(passive), 20% skaven, 10% armour
One blast kill clan rats
Two blasts + full tick of DoT to kill fanatic
Two shot-bodyshot SV/ratlin/firerat with instant snipe
Three shot-bodyshot leech/storm/gas/assasin specials with instant snipe + 3 tick of DoT

This setup can kill SV/ratlin/firerat very qucik in both range and melee ways. However fighting chaos hordes will generate about 30% more heat due to Marauder, which means you will lose more hp from venting. Vent-dodge skill is required

Necklace

Extra block and hp. Boon of Shallya can be replaced by Barkskin to survive gas/bile troll vomit/storm fiend fire/vortex.

Since Pyromancer can perform Kill-Regen-Vent circle with only range weapons, use Barrage for extra damage.

Breakpoints: 10% range damage(passive), 20% chaos, 20% infantry
Three shot-bodyshot Mauler with left click.

Necklace

Extra push and hp. Boon of Shallya can be replaced by Barkskin to survive gas/bile troll vomit/storm fiend fire/vortex.

Trinket

Best choice if your team decide to take grim. Crit chance does not work well with fireball staff. 30% stamina regen for extra melee combo.
Unchained (Sword/Crowbill + Bolt)
Some tricks in case you don't know......
Don't use your career skill for casual vent or damage. Unchained has a fairly long CD and slow recharge speed. Save it for reviving or prevent getting hit from back to self-explode.

Also, crowbill has no self-explode animation. Pay attention.

Talent
LVL 5
Higher overcharge can keep your high melee damage longer, and increase your survivability.
LVL 10
Very powerful talent for weapons that can pull out heavy attack quickly.
LVL 15
Level 15 talents totally depend on your playstyle. If you prefer melee, use Dissispate. If you prefer range, use Conduit. If you are new to this class, use Natural Talent.
LVL 20
Hitting enemies to regen is currently the most versatile level 20 talent. You will regen 1 hp even if you hit one enemy. It is way more versatile than stagger to regen.
LVL 25
Unchained's career skill already has high enough damage/CC to let you get out of surrounded situation. So CD reduction is preferred.

Melee weapon

Due to some bug, if you put 60% block on items and 50% block with Dissispate, you will lose more stamina than only use two of them. So trade 30% block cost on melee with 5% crit

Breakpoints:
For 1h sword(default):
Heavy-Heavy-Light overhead combo kill SV with all headshots.

For Crowbill: 10% skaven, 10% armour, Unstable Strength(passive)
0 stack of passive:
Two shot-bodyshot SV with heavy attack
Four shot-bodyshot SV with light attack

5 stacks of passive:
One shot-headshot SV with light or heavy attack
Two shot-bodyshot SV with heavy attack
Three shot-bodyshot SV with light attack

Range weapon

Bolt staff has unparalleled advantages when fighting hordes that line up. The rest of roaming units, you should melee them with the high heat/high damage you just built up.
When fighting lined-up or high concentrated hordes, use uncharged spears. You can penetrate 3~4 fanatics. With the highs fire rate, you will clean the field in seconds.

Breakpoints: 10%skaven, 10% chaos, 10% infantry
Level 1 charged spear: :
One shot-bodyshot all mobs.
Two shot-bodyshot assassin.
Three shot-bodyshot leech/gas/storm specials.

Level 2 charged spear (by default):
One shot-headshot SV/ratlin/firerat.
Three shot-headshot CW.

You should never use sparks, unless you don't have time to aim/charge spear to interrupt leech/assassin.

Necklace

Extra block and hp. Unchained has the highest damage reduction in the game, also your career ability can let you get out of surrounded situation, so Natural Bond works great on normal legend run.

LVL 25
Unchained's career skill already has high enough damage/CC to let you get out of surrounded situation. So CD reduction is preferred.

Melee weapon

With Unstable Strength, unchain can achieve some interesting breakpoints for her melee. This build focus on melee clean hordes. Range weapon is for fast heat gain, special sniping and boss damage.

Breakpoints: 10% chaos, 10% infantry, Unstable Strength(passive)
Heavy-Heavy-Light overhead combo kill SV with all headshots (by default)

With 5 stack of Unstable Strength:
One shot-bodyshot fanatic with light/push attack

Range weapon

For beamstaff mechanism, see the Appendix part.
Use blast to reach high heat quickly and kill hordes with melee. Range weapon is not your primary weapon for this build.
Barrage for extra boss damage.

Breakpoints: 10% infantry, 10% skaven, 10% chaos, Barrage
One blast kill clan rats with 5 stacks of Barrage
Two blasts + 1 tick of DoT kill fanatic with 5 stacks of Barrage

Necklace

Extra block and hp. For mace user, use 2 stamina instead of block cost.
Unchained has the highest damage reduction in the game, also your career ability can let you get out of surrounded situation, so Natural Bond works great on normal legend run.

Appendix-Mechanism of Sienna staffs
Beam staff
Beam staff has three attack modes: beam(hold left click), blast(hold right click then left click), snipe(hold left click then right click).
Beam mode deals constant damage and applies DoT. It does penetrate armour and open shield very quick. Keep holding the beam on one enemy will increase your beam DPS till maximum. However head and body parts on one enemy are considered as two different units, so if you move the beam from head to the body it will drop the DPS to initial. Use snipe during beam also drop the beam DPS to initial. Should be used against boss.
Blast mode deals one instant damage and applies DoT. It does penetrate armour (not including CW) but deals little damage. Keep holding right click do not change the damage. It has decent cleve and stagger, with multiple blasts you can stun up to SV, Mauler and berzerkers/monks. Should be used against hordes or multiple elites.
Snipe mode deals one instant damage without DoT. It does penetrate armour. You can increase your snipe damage by charging the beam mode before snipe. The stagger level depends on the charging level and if you land a headshot. Should be used against specials or single elite.

Fireball staff
Fireball staff has two attack modes: fireball(left click) and charged fireball(hold right click then left click).
Fireball deals one instant damage without DoT. It does penetrate armour but deal little damage without headshot. However its infantry damage is very high. Should be used to kill specials or single infantry unit.
Charged fireball deals one instant damage and applies DoT. It does penetrate armour and shield. The inital damage and DoT increases dramatically with charging. Fast-charge fireball has higher DPS, and provide more CC. Full-charge fireball has better heat/damage ratio and provides better AP. Depends on the situation, use different charged level fireball to kill hordes/boss, or stagger specials/elites.

Conflagration staff
Conflagration staff has two attack modes: fireball(left click) and geyser(hold right click then left click).
Fire ball deals one instant damage without DoT. It does penetrate armour but deals little damage. However its infantry damage is very high. Should be used to kill specials, boss or single infantry unit.
Geyser deals one instant damage and applies DoT. It does penetrate armour and shield. Enemies will take more damage in the centre of geyser. Charging only increase the area under effect but not damage/DoT. Fully charged geyser will leave a circle of fire to apply DoT to incoming units. It deals good hordes damage and can stagger all types of units except boss. Should be used against hordes or chain stun elites/specials

Bolt staff
Bolt staff has two attack modes: spark(left click) and spear (hold right click then left click).
Spark deals one instant damage without DoT. It does penetrate armour but deals little damage. With low damage and low stagger, the only time you should use it is to kill single clanrat/fanatic or interrupt specials.
Spear deals one instant damage without DoT. It does penetrate armour with high headshot bonus. It also has super high cleve. The damage level increases a lot with charging, Level-1/instant charge can one shot fanatic. Level-2 charge can kill SV and CW very quickly with headshot. Level-3 charge needs so much time that never really worth it. Level-1 charge should be used against hordes and infantry specials. Level-2 charge should be used against armour unit/elites/hookrat/boss.

Flamestorm staff
Flamestorm staff has two attack modes: burst(left click) and stream (hold right click then left click). Both modes do not deal damage at super close range.
Burst deals one instant damage and applies DoT. It does penetrate armour but deals little damage. It can stagger CW/SV if they didn't start attacking. With low DPS, the only time you should use it is to interrupt specials.
Stream deals constant damage and applies DoT. It does penetrate armour and open shield quickly. It can stagger CW/SV if they didn't start attacking. Charging stream will increase the time you throwing flame, but you will lose some move speed and it can be interrupt. Use chaos/infantry on both weapon & charm with Barrage so that you can kill hordes with little charging time.

Temp hp regen has changed after BBB. Right now only pyromancer can do kill-vent-kill circle. Your temp hp come from your ult.

Beamstaff no longer gives hp on hit. Kept it on a horde of rats and gained nothing, even the shotgun right click doesn't. Not sure if bug?
