Introduction

"Nothing is Set in Stone"
Atlas, "The Man out of Time" is the newest Champion in the realm of Paladins. He is a Frontline character introduced in the 2.03 update[paladins.com] bringing in a new flavor and introduced new mechanics in the game with his time-manipulating abilities. He can rewind time and send back enemies and lower their HP, he can also rewind himself and restore some of his health. With his ultimate, he can banish enemies at will and render them frozen for 5 seconds perfect for controlling the objective. Being able to prevent enemies to participate in the battle for a few seconds gives Atlas and his team great opportunities in team fights. He is a very interesting character but suffers from low Health and very long cooldowns making him squishy compared to other tanks. He has high skill cap potential with great zoning capabilities and can control an objective like no other character released before him.

Lore
There is no light in the future, only an all-consuming Darkness. The Realm is lost. Atlas was born into this dark future as the son of a legendary Judge. Each day he fought to survive, and each night he found solace in stories of the Realm that was. These stories gave Realmkind hope, but their final stand against the Darkness failed tragically. All hope was lost... but one. Atlas studied old books of Crystal magic and mastered the control of time. He researched old tales of what started all this, of how the world had fallen. And then Atlas stepped into the past, determined to save the Realm -- and stop the Darkness -- by changing the course of history.

Skills
Let's take a look at Atlas' skills and basic abilities.

Chrono-cannon
(Mouse1)
Deals 900 damage and fires more accurately with fewer shots depending on charge time. It will fire automatically at full charge.
Ammo: 6
Reload: ?
*This is a direct damage type of weapon. Counter: Haven
*This is a charge-up weapon. The more you charge it up the more accurate it's going to be.
*There are 4 fire modes depending on how long you hold it. 15 shots, 10 shots, 5 shots, and ultimately an accurate 1 shot that deals 900 damage.
*1.5s charge time on the last fire mode. 0.9s post-fire time.
*Atlas can hit headshots, depending on the mode you can deal 90/bullet, 135/bullet, 270/bullet and ultimately 1350 damage if you hit a fully charged headshot.

Setback
(Mouse 2)
Fire energy that blasts its victim back to where they were 4s ago. Their health is reverted to its lowest point in that period.
Cooldown: 12s
*Has unlimited Range
*(?)This is a Crowd Control Ability. Counter: Resilience
*Travels in a straight direction and can only hit one target.
*Targets are immune to Damage/Crowd Control while rewinding
*The target will not be remounted if they were rewound at a period where they were mounted.
*Players who are rewinding can't contest or push the objective.

Second Chance
(F)
Fling yourself back to where you were 4s ago. Your health is restored to the highest value it was in that period.
Cooldown: 18s
*While you are rewinding you can't contest or push the objective.
*You are immune to Damage/Crowd Control while rewinding.
*You can't cancel or stop this ability.
*Any healing applied to you while rewinding is cancelled.

Stasis Field
(Q)
Erect a temporal barrier in front of you that nullifies all ranged attacks for 5s.
Cooldown: 14s
Uptime: 5s
*It will stop bullets and projectiles and even ultimate projectiles like Skye's Bomb. It will not stop Jenos' ultimate or his void grip.
*Shield uptime and cooldown cannot be extended by cards. Buy Chronos to lower its cooldown.
*If you activate this ability mid-air, the barrier will stay mid-air.
*The cooldown starts when the last barrier you erect dies.
*This is not a shield! This is also not a deployable! Counter: No item Counter
*You can't change the orientation of the barrier even if you look up while deploying it, it will always erect in front of you vertically.

Exile (Ultimate)
(E)
Supercharge your chrono-cannon
-shots will Banish enemies for 4s whom cannot be interacted with by enemies/allies.
Charges: 3
Ult Duration: 5s
Banish Duration: 4s
*This is his ultimate ability that has 3 charges that can hit up to 3 unique targets.
*It's a Crowd Control Ability. Counter: Resilience
*Has unlimited range.
*This Ultimate introduced a new status effect in the game called Banish. Banish will render the target frozen but cannot be healed or targeted during the duration.
*Banish will pause the out-of-combat heal.
*Banished players can still capture the objective.
*Can be cancelled early by re-activating the ability. It will not consume the remaining ultimate charge if cancelled.
*Theoretically, you can banish the same player twice during the ultimate duration.
*There is a 40% slow penalty while your ultimate is active.
*Enemies will stay banished even after Atlas dies during the duration.

Talents
Here are His 3 Talents

Unstable Fissure
(Default Talent)
Activating Second Chance leaves behind an unstable fissure that after 3s explodes dealing 900 damage.
*This is the talent you get out of the box without the need to unlock.
*This is an Area of Effect attack that leaves an explosion with a big radius. Counter: Blast Shields
*Damage is decreased the farther the target is to the center.
*Easily his worst talent. Why? Long cooldown and long fuse time.
*Paradox card can lower the ability's cooldown to 2.5s if maxed, even then you're still left with 15.5s cooldown on your Second Chance Ability. Lowest it can get is 11s cooldown if chronos 3 is added.

Temporal Divide
(Unlocks at Mastery Level 2)
Greatly increases the size of Stasis Field, but its cooldown is increased by 50%.
*The penalty makes the ability cooldown for Stasis Field to 21s. Duration is still 5s.
*Again, another long cooldown. It's not as bad as that one though ^

Déjà Vu
(Unlocks at Mastery Level 8)
Setback becomes a lobbed explosion that can rewind multiple enemies.
*It turns setback into an Area of Effect ability. Counter: Resilience
*It detonates when it hits the ground or a wall.
*The ability will no longer travel in a straight direction and will arc in a short range.
