When you have Steam open, hold down your Windows button and press R.

A window will popup. Paste the code below in the box and click "Run".
steam://open/console/

This will open Steam's console. Simply type "open url" to visit your desired website.

You can use the Steam client normally when you're done, just click off of the console page.

it's not working on steam deck, I opened the steam console (not konsole) in desktop mode and the command "open google.com" nor "open url google.com" worked

...and they dont seem to care about it. you can basically inject anything and steam doesnt give a fuck about giving everyone a browser that aint safe to use.

This is very great info, thanks. I do use console to avoid login as steam user in my browser ... Steam login is enough. When I look for info over internet, sometimes it's a steam's thread, so login is required to post, like right now. Thank you for the tips.

There are better ways to start Steam with the Developer Console just make a shortcut with this as an example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -dev -console
