Mystery: VOID WALKER ARSENAL DLC

I noticed that there are alot of threads and discussions on the forums about the VOID WALKER ARSENAL DLC. What is it? What is in it? Where do I find it in game? Why does it not show up in my Steam properties under DLC? So, here are the answers to those questions concerning VOID WALKER ARSENAL DLC. Hope it helps!

This should not be considered Spoilers, as all the content and information is public: however, some may consider the before and after screenshots to be Spoilers. So, read at your own risk!

The contents are arranged by the original retailer that sold the Pre-Purchase Bonus content. Screenshots will show where the Pre-Puchase Bonus content will appeare after seeing the Outsider. I have shown the locations in Corvo's room before he sleeps for the first time. Additionally, there are screenshots of the VOID WALKERS DLC Content at those locations after Corvo has seen the Outsider and wakes up.

The VOID WALKER'S ARSENAL is a downloadable content pack which is a collection of four different packs previously only available as preorder bonuses from four retailers.

The items from this downloadable content can be found in Corvo Attano's room.These items will appear as soon as Corvo wakes up in his room for the first time, at the Houd Pits pub, after seeing the "Outsider".

Conclusion: Thoughts

Question: I can't find where my VOID WALKER's ARSENAL is listed.

Question: I don't see my VOID WALKER's ARSENAL listed with my other DLC. Where is it?

Answer: If you highlight Dishonored, then right-click and choose Properties. This will open a new menu, now left-click on the DLC Tab. You will not see VOID WALKER's ARSENAL listed. You should see each one of the packs listed as a DLC.

OK. You get #9 bonus Whalebone charms, $1,500 Bonus gold, and #3 extra Whalebone charm slots. If you buy the charm upgrade Piero you can equip a total of #10 Whalebone charms. How sweet is that!

I am of two minds when comes to post-launch bonus retailer packs. Much like Two Face from Batman. Except I don't have a coin to flip in order to tap into that elusive force called fate. So here goes my two cents.

On the one hand, I think it is great for those individuals that, for whatever reason, did not pre-order the game. They still did not get any extra physical bonuses that these retailers offered if they purchased a physical game from them.

One the other hand, when developers offer this kind of DLC pack post-launch it blatantly revels that all the hype for pre-orders is nothing more then yet another slick marketing scheme. As for me, I feel my pre-order bonuses have been some how devalued having lost that certain "Exclusivity" that was part of my original buying decision. I understand that I still recieved the physical bonuses that those buying post-launch will not have, yet I still feel like a little bit of a schmok having been hooked by the "Pre-Order" hype created by the developers marketing department.

I must be honest, I did buy the VOID WALKER'S ARSENAL PACK post-launch - Dishonored and DLC where on sale during the Steam Summer Sale. And I love the quaility of game play they offer.

Anyway, I am sure there are many of you playing Dishnored that may have strong feelings one way or another along with those of you that are just apathetic about the whole thing. Please share you views in the comments below if you feel one way or another as I wont be hearing from the apathetic's. And I might just get lonely waiting for them to comment!

Well it's Oct 29 2021 and I wrote this in 2013! Have not played in over two years. Wow...
So, I'm waiting for the second chapter for Sim Settlements 2 (Fallout 4) to be released and was casting around for a game I've not played in awhile. Saw Your comment and decided to dust off Dishonored and this guide and take them for a little ride.

Plus, I've never played any of the DLC missions! Can You believe that?

Just a (very late) note, there are 4 packs so the totals are 12 bone charms, 2000 coin, 4 books and 4 statues (giving one 4 extra charms slots).

I got the game of the year edition, and i recieved all of these with it.
Given the placement of these after waking up from the "dream," and the presence of the mark on the back of Corvo's left hand, it just adds to the creepiness of the situation to see a whole bunch of stuff inside his bedroom just APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE.

I actually think that this is one example of pre-order bonuses that ADD to the experience of the game and make The Outsider seem even more creepy.
