Yes, the staff has voice lines! Aluneth will speak on occasion while you have it in your inventory. If you put it away or discard it the voice lines will cease. It also has voice lines tied to specific events, such as running out of mana or being in a city.

As far as I am aware, this is the only talking weapon created for Skyrim. Currently it must be spawned via the console, but I intend to create a dungeon designed for Aluneth.
