Aisha the Magician
Aisha is the Magician type character in Elsword, but before you even get capability for Battle Magician or even Dimension Witch, you will have to make an Aisha.

Your first job advancement happens at level 15, but until then, just follow your regular quests for now.

Let me introduce you to some basic things you should know about, first.

Aisha has two special abilities to help her throughout PvP and PvE.

Charging - Stand still to recover an amount of MP until you move. This is more efficient and faster than Rena's charging system.

Gliding - While in the air, hold up to glide or get to other places quickly. Consumes MP.

Obviously, in game, you will also have combos you can use to fight enemies.

But before that, these are the command key basics as follows, so no one will get confused:

Z (Normal attack)
X (Special/stronger attack)
> OR < (Walk)
>> OR << (Dash)
^ (Jump/Up)
v (Go down faster in air/Down)
A, S, D, C, **Q, W, E, R** (Special Active/Active/Buff slots. **These can only be obtained in purchasing B-Slot from the Item Mall)

And now, for the combos.

ZZZ - Aisha hits the enemy 3 times with her staff. This generally isn't useful in the moment.

ZZ^Z - Aisha will hit the enemy 2 times with her staff, then drag them up to the air to hit the target multiple times. This will never be useful in PvP nor PvE.

XXXX - Aisha will hit the enemy 4 times with her fireballs. Note: In the Korean version of the game, you can hold the last fireball (XXX[X]) to make it bigger and stronger.

XXvX - Aisha will hit the enemy with two fireballs, then create a field blast knocking enemies up in the air.

XX>X - Aisha will hit the enemy with two fireballs, then hit the target multiple times, knocking them down. This isn't very useful for keeping combos in PvE nor PvP.

^Z - Aisha jumps and smacks the enemy with her staff.

^X - Aisha jumps and hits the enemy with a fireball, knocking them down. Note: In the Korean version of the game, this does not knock down. Also, this will not knockdown in Magical Makeup, this will be talked about later on.

>>ZZ - Aisha smacks the target two times sending the enemy flying upwards.

>>X - Pass behind the enemy and shoot a fireball

>>ZX - Aisha will swing the enemy one time with her staff, then teleport to the nearest target and hit them, which will knock down the enemy. This isn't very useful on Base Aisha.

>>^Z - Make a magic circle, that deals heavy damage but knocks enemies down. Note: This can be looped 3 times before knockdown.

>>^XX - Aisha will jump and shoot two fireballs at the target.

Basic Skills:

Special Actives:

Chain Fireball - Aisha shoots 3 fireballs at the target. Do not invest any SP into this. You will have no use for it in the game after a few levels.
Skill note: Burn Baby Burn - Increases time of burning by 10 seconds.

Gust Screw - Aisha makes a flame pillar damaging nearby enemies. This isn't a very good PvP skill, and isn't worth putting SP into.

Lightning Bolt - Aisha shoots multiple Lightning Bolts at enemies in front of her. This doesn't do much damage in PvP at start, but it can do decent damage as you progress after about level 50 in the game. Also, this is a requirement for getting Binding Circle, which can be useful for PvP.
Skill Note: Shock & Awe - Target will be stunned for 2.5sec after being hit, instead of knockdown.

Binding Circle - If you maxed Lightning Bolt, you will have access to this skill. Aisha creates a dimension around her that freezes enemies for an amount of time.
Skill Note: Trauma - Reduces speed of enemies by 20% for 10 seconds after being frozen.

Gust Storm - If you maxed Gust Screw, you will have access to this skill. Aisha masters Gust Screw and creates a bigger fire pillar, damaging enemies even harder at the core. This isn't worth putting SP into at all, even Gust Screw in general.

Meteor Call - Aisha summons a huge meteor in front of her that explodes, damaging nearby enemies. This isn't worth putting SP into at all.

Actives:

Teleport - Aisha teleports to another area for 10MP. This is worth maxing, along with the passive.

Skill Note: Soul Movement - During teleportation, you will be invincible for the duration. In cost for this, you will have to use 40% more MP to use the skill.

Note: If you max the Teleport passive, which reduces 40% MP cost, you will have to spend 10 MP for the skill with the note. If you don't max the passive, you will have to spend 14 MP per use for the note. This is a really useful skill note to have.

Mana Shield - Aisha creates a Mana Shield around her, protecting her from incoming attacks. This is worth putting SP into, and maxing it.
Skill Note: Strong Shields - Shield HP is increased by 20%. In cost for this, it will increase 5 seconds of cooldown.

Flame Wave - Aisha creates a flame wave in front of her, damaging nearby enemies.

Passives:

Max EVERYTHING you see on here.

Basic Magic Defense Training - Increases Magic Defense

Basic Physical Defense Training - Increases Physical Defense

Basic Magic Training - Increases Magic Attack

Basic Strength Training - Increases Physical Attack

Teleport Study - Reduces MP cost for Teleport by 40%

Buffs:

Aura Magic Accelerator - Increases Magic Attack for a period of time.

Aura Shield Accelerator - Increase Defense for a period of time.

Aura Power Accelerator - Increase Physical Attack for a period of time.

That's all there is to the skills. You can assign them to A, S, D, or C. If you have B-Slot (Purchase in Item Mall) you can use Q, W, E, and R

Job advancement:

SO I HEARD YOU BECAME LEVEL 15. Great! Go to the boards to accept your first quest.
Now you must job advance. In this case, we are becoming a Battle Magician. Quests come as follows. Note: You can buy an instant advancement in the Item Mall, but why go through the trouble, this isn't recommended cause it cost a lot, and your level will be low if you skip the quest.

1. Clear 2-4 on Hard Mode or above with at least a B rank.

2. In 2-4 Hard Mode, Defeat:
- 14 Jangos.
- 14 Kid Phorus.

3. In 2-4 Very Hard Mode, Collect:
- 2 Monkey Wrench from Bomber Mongs.
- 1 Special Nut from Miniboss: William.

4. Collect 4 Dead Tree Branches from the White Ghost Magician in 2-3 on Very Hard Mode.
Buy or collect 5 Medium MP Potions

5. Speak to Hoffman in Elder.

6. Collect one drop from William Phoru from 2-4 on Very Hard

7. Eliminate:
- 5 Wally Guardians
- 9 Little Soldiers
- Wally No.8 on 2-5 at any difficulty.

8. Complete 2-5 on Very Hard.

You are now officially a Battle Magician.

Battle Magician - Pure Magic to the highest level!

So you're a Battle Magician. Great!

Pros
- Close Combat Aisha
- Extension to many base combos that were useless
- High Magical Defense and Power
- Beginner-friendly
- Very useful Special Actives
- Good AoE

Cons
- MP gain is kind of tricky, even with *Magic Necklace
*Magic Necklace lets you gain 30% More MP from attacking or being attacked.
- Lowest HP in game.
- For unexperienced people, requires a high level for SP needs, to be able to PvP effeciently.
Note: This isn't a legitimate response, because I stayed level 39, and I have no problem maintaining PvP.
- Some combos are just extended by Dimension Witch.
- Needs good Attack Speed for decent combos.

Combo Additions:

ZZZZ - Aisha does four swings with her staff, the last hit being knockdown.

>>^X - Aisha jumps and shoots a starball down on an enemy, hitting them multiple times.

>>ZXXX - Aisha does her regular >>ZX combo, dashes up to the enemy with her staff, and creates a magic field blast, launching enemies into the air.

And now, obviously, skills.

Special Actives:

Useful to max everything except Heavy Press.

Heavy Press - Aisha smacks the enemy 3 times, with a very powerful blast. This isn't worth investing SP into, as it knockdowns.
Skill Note: Magic Smashing - Hits are both Magical and Physical Attack, instead of one.

Energy Spurt - Aisha bursts her energy, creating a very powerful blast that takes a lot of enemies HP away, usually hit if the enemy is in the air or bottom, this isn't very good for aiming to the enemy in front of you. This is an extremely useful skill, and I suggest to max it, as you can get your enemies HP away if you're in peril, or if it's a final blast.
Skill Note: Ring of Energy - Range increase by a ton, and MP consumed is increased by 10%. (Now costs 220MP)

Guillotine Press - In air, Aisha stomps the enemy with very strong and powerful twice.
SP very recommended to invest in, as it can drop the KD counter, and attack enemies at the bottom of you.

Super Nova - Aisha creates a strong magical force into her staff, releasing it to the enemies in front of her, creating a strong magical blast. Note: This skill gets stronger if it hits more enemies. Recommended for PvE and 3v3 PvP.

Magical Makeup - This is one of the most useful skills you could ever encounter. Aisha transforms herself to become older, changing her X moveset, and making her Z range longer. Increases MP gain per hit by 100% (Totally useful, 130% with Magic Necklace)
Gliding doesn't cost any MP anymore.
Max this skill, cause it can be really useful.

Actives:

Energy Drain - Drains opponents HP and MP. Currently bugging, as having no hit-stun in PvP. Useful in PvE.
Skill Note: Power Drain - 30% chance to double effects.

Flame Circle (Universal Aisha skill) - Aisha creates a flame circle around her, hitting any enemies who touch it.
Skill Note: Quantitative Improvement Ⅱ- Adds a fireball.

Buffs:

Aura Speed Accelerator - Movement, Jump, and Attack speed increased. PvP terms: Only Movement Speed is increased.

Passives:

MAX EVERYTHING SEEN ON HERE.

Intermediate Strength Training - Increases Physical Attack even further.

Spirit Acceleration - Increases all Accelerator (Buff) skills time. Needs to be maxed to unlock Aura Speed Accelerator.

Fitness - Charging MP rate increased, knockdown rate decreased.

Manaflow Overdrive - Physical Damage increase, like Intermediate Strength Training.

That concludes the skills section.

So at this point you should be level 35. There isn't much for a leveling guide, as you can just continue to dungeon.

To job advance to Dimension Witch, the quest goes on as follows:

1. Speak with Altera Pongo Elder Adel.

2. Collect 20 Memory Alloys from Nasods.
- 4-6 Very Hard is recommended.

3. Collect 5 Drops from Nasod Blader in 4-5 on any difficulty.

4. Speak with Allegro in Peita

5. Collect 40 Moonstones from Glitter Necromancer in Peita
Underground Chapel, Very Hard, is HIGHLY recommended.

Congrats. You are now a Dimension Witch.

Dimension Witch - Master of Time and Space

So you're a DW. Congrats.

Let's see what's up for you next.

Additional Combos:

>>ZXXX[X] AND XXvX[X] - Aisha will continue to do these combos, but at the end, create a space bomb that drags enemies in. Note: If you use this near a KD'd enemy in PvP, or when they are behind you, they will most likely be caught in it. This isn't very good for regular combos.

>>XX - This is very useful for catching. The first X changes into a starball. The second X drags enemies in. This is good for catching opponents, especially ones that fall in front of you.

Skills

Special Actives:

Impact Hammer - Aisha focuses energy at the tip of her staff, and strikes hard at the enemies in front of her. This is worth maxing, as it serves as a good catch, low MP, and a KD Counter drop.

Screw Driver - Create a Dimension Swirl in your staff, dashing up into enemies, not Knocking them down. Note: Good catch, decent damage, but high MP cost.

Actives:

Distortion - Aisha creates a distortion that can absorb any projectile, counter any hit, and damage enemies who get caught in it. This is especially useful for countering 95% of Special Actives, and attacks. Serves as a magnificent catch also. You can use this for whenever you KD your opponent, usually male characters, as most of them just press Z to counterattack, they will fall to Distortion, and you can counterattack.

Passives:

Magical Staff - While attacking enemies with her staff, there is a chance for additional magical space damage to add on to it.

Space Leap - After teleporting, have additional damage for a short period of time. (Useful for >>ZXXXX) If skill level 3 or higher, able to teleport downwards.

Elements
Throughout the game you will find things called Elements, and certain stones in certain amounts are required to actually Attribute your weapon.

What are Elements?

Elements are basically El Shards that, if you have a certain amount, can change your weapon to make of an outcome of a special status effect of the enemy. Make sure to use these wisely, and not just throw it at any weapon you come across.

Where can I get these?

El Mystery Shards can be used to make of a random shard at a time, or using an "El Shard Mystery Solver" to make out shards of it separately. You can get some at certain events, and buy them at the market.

Where can I put an Element on my weapon?

Alchemist, gogogoogogogogogogogogo.

Are Shards the only way you can attribute a weapon?

No, there are Refined El Shards (Mfw shards)
They can basically give you an attribute without having a certain amount, or do DUAL attributes.

As a Dimension Witch, which elements should I use?

This is a good question, but as a DW myself, I can find that you can adapt to any element you want.

Water - Use this in PvP, ignores defense and lowers movement speed, DW great at handling and catching opponents, opponent can't move, GOOD GAME. Best PvP attribute you can find.

Wind - Journeys of OP attack power. Ignores enemy defense and adds to weapons power.

Fire - Overpowered damage over time aspect, even though this won't be as useful as any other shard you could possibly get for DW, it still can be handled with.

Nature - Damage over time and lowers opponents attack speed (Damage over time weaker than Fire) Opponents attack speed lowered + Binding circle note + Teleport out of combos = GG.

Light - Freezes enemies in place, leaving them open to any combo you can find. KD resets, also, if you use this with Magical Makeup, it can always catch after it ends, and you can go on at an infinity combo.

Dark - Drains certain amount of MP and HP from opponent. Well, Aisha has lowest HP in game anyways, and needs MP also. Great at handling combos without Magic Necklace.

Extremely useful in both PvE and PvP, choose your weapon wisely.

Combos
There are a few pre-built combos. Improvising is a major plus, just experiment with actives with real people.

Here are some basic Pre-Built ones:

Note: I only expect you to do these if you are unexperienced.

ZZZ<<> - Swing the staff 3 times at the opponent, dash back and front very quickly to make the combo work. Needs a bit practice at start. Good MP gainer, bad damage dealer.

>>^X - Dash and shoot starballs to loop and combo

>>ZXX - Dash, teleport, and smack the opponent with the staff

>>XX, <<XX - Good combo for keeping people in place.

>>^X, <<XX - Starball combo.

Feel free to add any actives into this, and remember...

ONLY USE THESE IF YOU ARE UNEXPERIENCED

These aren't very good combos to use if you know how to fluently play Dimension Witch.
Most of them are bad damage dealers otherwise.

Use these combos, and add on with actives and other existing combos, to make one of your own.

While going around some of them, you can find unique combinations. Let me show you something a bit more advanced.

Advanced Combos:

ZZZ >>ZXX<<> >>XX (Energy Drain) <<ZZ (Distortion) (Impact Hammer)

While in Makeup: ZZZ >>^X ^X (Flame Wave) (Impact Hammer)

ZZZ<<> >>ZZ >>^X XX (Flame Wave) (Impact Hammer) >>XX

Optimal Skill Sets and Builds
When you get around level 41, you will have had the opportunity to put at least 1SP to each and every skill. Even though doing that is not recommended, as some aren't even worth putting SP into.
There are a variety of bad skills that you shouldn't put for Aisha.

Skills you shouldn't put your SP into at all:

Chain Fireball - This skill has really bad damage and knockdowns at the end. Don't even try investing SP into.

Gust Screw - This is a horrible skill to have in PvP, as it knockdowns, and only useful in starting dungeons in Ruben, which isn't really worth investing anything to.

Gust Storm - You seriously have to invest 5 SP in Gust Screw to get this skill, thats about 3 levels of SP gained, and it doesn't really do anything much other than Gust Screw, just more damage.

Meteor Call - Does really horrible damage for a skill costing this much MP, and even knockdowns at the end. Won't be useful for PvP nor PvE.

Heavy Press - This won't be useful in PvP nor PvE. It does really bad damage, and even knockdowns at the end.

Lightning Bolt - To be completely honest, this skill isn't AS bad as the skills listed above, it's just that it needs a skill note to be useful, and an optimal level to do at least mediocre damage.

Skills that should be optional to put SP into:

Flame Circle - A lot of Dimension Witch and Battle Magicians don't rely on this. The skill note isn't completely useful also. Sometimes all this can do is just flood a spot in your skill set. This can serve as a catch, though, and a counterattack if your opponent messes up.

Flame Wave - Personally, I use this, but there aren't much people who favor this in the first place. This shouldn't be recommended for people who don't have B Slot, yet it only cost 2 SP to max this skill. This doesn't usually serve as a catch often, but can be used in combos.

Binding Circle - This isn't a bad skill, it's just that you need to spend around 10SP to max it. (You need to max Lightning Bolt to unlock this skill) The skill note is REALLY useful, and can catch people trying to keep away from you.

Buffs - Really useful for catching and stats. Some people wouldn't have enough room to use this, especially if you don't have B Slot.

Skill that are recommended to be maxed or invested into:

All passives should be maxed, FINAL.

Super Nova - Useful in PvE for it's damage, and 3v3 PvP, because it gets stronger in more enemies it hits.

Teleport - Brilliant escape method for evading skills, and you can note it for more guarantee if you don't mind paying a little bit more MP into it with its note. A must-max skill. And I'm pretty sure I went over the passive before also.

Screw Driver - Good damage with no knockdown. Should be useful in PvE, and every form of PvP.

Mana Shield - Aisha has lowest defense in the game. This gives 60% Defense to incoming attacks, why not? A must-max skill

Magical Makeup - A must-max skill. This gives an overpowered amount of MP per hit, increases Z range, and changes every X attack into starballs, which can serve as a combo.

Impact Hammer - Drops the KD counter, does decent damage, good catch, low MP, low cooldown, and could be used to make a never-ending combo with Dimension Witch, as long as you have Magical Makeup on. A must-max skill.

Guillotine Press - Drops KD counter, decent MP cost for a skill, can attack enemies at the bottom of you. Good skill to have overall.

Energy Spurt - Serves as a good finale skill. You can use this also to lower opponents HP when your HP is at peril mode. A must-max skill.

Distortion - This is by far the most useful active any job could have. It seriously counters ANY special active, attack, projectile, mostly anything. It can also counter counter-attackers, and does damage if the opponent is caught in it. A must-max skill, no questions asked.

Energy Drain - The bug in PvP for it having no hitstun can get annoying, but that doesnt happen all the time. Just use >>XX then use this, and you wont have to worry about lag. It's a good way to gain MP and HP back. The skill in PvE is absolutely amazing.

Skill Sets -
Depending on if you have a B Slot or not, this could differ.

Skills you should consider putting in your set:
Teleport - I'm only writing for this skill, since it is highly recommended. This is a skill you should definitely put in, B Slot or not. Excellent evasion skill, and tricking your opponent.

Energy Spurt

Impact Hammer

Distortion

Magical Makeup

Mana Shield

Skills you should consider putting in IF you have a B Slot:

Guillotine Press

Screw Driver

Super Nova

Energy Drain

Buffs

OR any other active of your choice.
What NOT to do as a Dimension Witch
There are a few tactics some Aisha's do in PvP. I'll tell you what to follow, and what not to.

Dimension Witch is good for playing Offensively and Defensively, a tactic most jobs cannot do.
It is recommended you actually use this to your advantage.

What NOT to do:

- Run and use Energy Spurt. You're just leaving yourself open, and catching the opponent and using it afterwards is quite a hard task.

- Run and teleport to charge and gain MP. Once again, you're just leaving yourself open. It makes the game boring, and make people mad. There are things called combos, you know... they gain MP too. And some people know what they are doing with Red(Reduce) damage. The only reason running to charge would be acceptable, is if you are at 0 MP.

What to do:

- Go inside the game and start fighting. Charging at the beginning is a good tactic, as you have good MP to start off with, start fighting when the opponent gets to you. Don't just jump in to the game.

- Depending on your level and experience, counter attacking is a good tactic. >>XX can be used for this, but don't just ONLY use that. Defensive gameplay would go more based on keeping a distance, and catching from there. Ex. <<XX, >>^X, XXvX(If they run into it)

- Offensive game play would be going after them with more physical and strong based attacks. Confusing your opponent is a big plus. Ex. >>ZXXXX

Congratulations~
You are officially a Dimension Witch, and I hope you use these hints and tricks to play in-game.
I wish you the best of luck~
Also, there are new updates about DW soon. Don't worry about those now, as they will be updated later.

Why is this not updated with her newer skills, Job Transcendance, or Metamorphy class.

Any difference between zzz<<> and zzz<> ?

More info going to be added as time passes by, I'm a bit busy so I might not get to it as quickly.

This is actually both Arena and Practice Channel, (I've never seen Practice Channel have normalized stats before) I've never had the chance to use Nova when I started doing Free Channel (I wiped out the SP for Nova to invest into something else) I used Nova in a few matches (Didn't have magic necklace, bad MP gain rate) on 1v1s when I was around A-S at the time. I can't try it on SS ranks anymore cause I don't have it.
Star Dream Jul 31, 2013 @ 7:02am
Is this in free channel or actual arena? There's still a lot to consider when you're fighting in arena, such as what the other person is geared (and believe me, a lot of the level 60s especially in the higher ranks suck), while free channel is scaled to the point that everything hurts like hell.

Hello! Thanks for reading my guide and stuff, I don't think it would be so popular anyways. I have to aggree with the Gust Screw part, I kind of underrated that. I have to disagree with the Super Nova part, though. I have no problem doing decent damage (I am level 39, I can do around 70% HP - 100% HP damage to level 60's with only an S2 sparring set) whatsoever. I need to add a LOT more into this guide, though. I'm just getting started, and been busy these past few days. Happy playing~!
Star Dream Jul 30, 2013 @ 8:28am
I just want to add in that Gust Screw does do decent damage (for Aisha relatively)...more than what lightning bolt does actually (2640% is the damage potential for gust screw, versus 2508% from lightning bolt). It flows better in skill chaining because it doesn't move you away from your position. Although neither is feasible in PvP because 200 mp is just too much to use for aisha, and LB gives far too much mana/awakening charge to the enemy.

Supernova is relatively weak for it's mana cost, the most it'd do in a usual PvE setting (3 allies and one boss) is around 5k-6k%, without and with awakening respectively, You'd see around 7k% max if you use it in a large group, but you might as well just do something like energy spurt or guillotine press to get the job done for less mana and less time.

Other than that, its a good general guide for DW. Details the basics of the class and what each skill does (missing important details aside)
