What is Wheel of Harma?
This mode unlocked in Act 2 is basically a Time Attack mode where you have to split your party members in several groups (1-3 people each). Each group has to defeat the monsters in their corresponding battles. A "turn" will be counted each time a party member acts. The total amount of turns spent on each battle will be accumulated and you will gain rewards according to how quick you can clear the trials. Sounds easy?

Initially you can only access 3 trials in the second act. Once you enter Act 3 after the big event, you will unlock 2 additional trials. The fifth trial is the trial that gives many people trouble, especially those who play with Stronger Monsters modifier on.

So what makes this trial hard?

Yeah, respawning monsters. What joy. Add in the increased stats from Stronger Monsters and you'll have a troublesome challenge to deal with.

Strategy Overview
There's a couple of strategies to properly tackle this trial, but the one I will give you doesn't rely on RNG and you do not need to use any pep actions except for the final battle.

Several quick pointers before we begin:
  • Never, ever let your enemy count drop below 3. This will make Pang respawn adds.
  • Remember who acts first. Pang respawns the monsters after everyone acts once in that turn. Don't let the monster count drop below 3 with the first character if you think your second character cannot clean up the rest.
  • You might be able to do this trial in early Lv. 90s, but getting every character to 99 is highly recommended. Clearing this on time in the 70s on Draconian is simply close to impossible however.
  • Getting upgraded gears found in the Trial's Isle is highly recommended.
  • You do not need to min-max your party members' stats using seeds unless you're planning to speedrun.
  • You can quickly restart the trial by fleeing from the battle.

This strategy should still be viable on non-Draconian runs but you are more lenient in terms of level. If you have trouble with grinding, I would definitely recommend the Electrolight + Haulellujah method.
Meet the Team
1. Hendrik
Essential Skills:
  • Gyrfalcon Slash
  • Dual Wielding (Not required but recommended)
You can make Hendrik use a greatsword instead of a normal sword. However I found Gyrfalcon Slash to be a much better damage dealer than the skill Unbridled Blade. Moreover, the former also hits multiple times meaning you'll lose less if you miss a single hit.

2. Jade
Essential Skills:
  • Multithrust
  • Pink Tornado
3. Luminary
Essential Skills:
  • Sword Dance
  • Gigagash
Dual wield sword is simply better than greatswords for this trial, period. Greatswords lack any full AoE attacks that makes swords more advantageous thanks to Gigagash.

4. Rab
Essential Skills:
  • Sap
  • Kacrackle
  • Kazammle (optional)
The only mandatory skill you need to learn as Rab is Kacrackle. Kazammle can also be used but not as mandatory. Otherwise just make sure you get as much Magical Might upgrades you can get.

5. Erik
Essential Skills:
  • Dual Wielding
  • Divide
  • Fatal Flash
  • Dually Deadly
  • Twomerang
You'll need to switch between the two loadouts during the battle. Dual Swords for killing a single enemy while Boomerang is used for crowd control. As usual, you can use dual knife + Victimizer as Erik but I don't recommend it. Not only does it require turns to set up, you also have the chance to fail because of RNG.

6. Sylvando
Essential Skills:
  • Oomphle
  • Pink Pirouette
  • Finger of Justice
Sylvando's role will be a support in the battle and the three skills will be used as needed depending on the situation.

7. Serena
Essential Items:
  • Elfin Elixir
I would definitely recommend going fully pepped just so you can end the battle more quickly.

8. Veronica
Essential Skills:
  • Magic Burst
Like Serena, I would definitely recommend Veronica to be pepped so you can use the pep action Mighty Magic Burst.
1st Battle - The Madness of Clouds
Turns Spent: 6 turns
Accumulated Turns: 6 turns

Things to take a note of:
If the Miasma ever dazzles your party members especially Jade, it's better to just restart this battle. You can probably carry on if Hendrik is dazzled though.

Strategy:
You want to begin the battle by using Pink Tornado as Jade. Miasma can either use Dazzle or cast Moreheal to Smog. A single Pink Tornado will still kill Smog even after being healed, so lowering the chance of a Dazzle cast is something you want to aim for.

Afterwards, focus on the Shadeshifter. Use Gyrfalcon Slash as Hendrik and Multithrust as Jade until its health falls into the deep orange. This should happen after the second Gyrfalcon. Finish off Miasma and Smog with Pink Tornado then close the round with Gyrfalcon Slash.
2nd Battle - Attack of the Octopummeller
Turns Spent: 8 turns
Accumulated Turns: 13 turns

Things to take a note of:
The battle is the longest battle of the four in my opinion. Remember when I said to never let the enemy count drop below 3? This battle cranks the absurdity even further. It starts with only a single enemy but Pang will keep respawning adds until there are at least 6 enemies on the screen. On top of that, the Abyssal Octopot has the ability to AoE heal (Hustle Dance) and perform a "death-defying dance", the equivalent of the party-wide reviving spell Kerplunk.

Strategy:
For the reasons above, it's best for you to ignore the adds completely and focus on Abyssal Octopot until its health is on the deep orange. As the Luminary keep using Sword Dance. Sap the Abyssal Octopot as Rab. On Rab's second turn, you have the option of either using Kacrackle to damage all enemies or if you have it, Kazammle on the Abyssal Octopot to help racking up damage.

In any case, once the octopot is on its deep orange, a single Gigagash as the Luminary should finish it off. Otherwise use Rab to clean up with Kacrackle.

Rab also has the ability to use the suicide spell Kamikazee to deal heavy damage to all enemies. However I wouldn't recommend using it because it is not guaranteed to hit everything. This is especially true if the enemies have the Magic Barrier buff applied. You wouldn't want to waste a turn for reviving Rab.
3rd Battle - Pandoramonium
Turns Spent: 5 turns
Accumulated Turns: 18 turns

Things to take a note of:
Pandora's Big Bad Box can use Kasnooze to screw up your whole run. Therefore it's a good idea to equip Erik and Sylvando with sleep resistant accessories like the Rousing Ring. I've never seen Pandora's Big Bad Box use Kathwack in this trial, but it will still use desperate attacks quite frequently.

Strategy:
Begin the battle by using Divide as Erik. Next Pandora's Big Bad Box will have the chance to act twice, so pray as hard as you can it won't make any of your party members sleep. Afterwards use Oomphle on Erik.

Once Oomphled, Erik should be able to kill Pandora's Big Bad Box with a single Fatal Flash provided you equip him with fully upgraded swords. If it is still alive, use Finger of Justice as Sylvando to finish it off. Otherwise just use his full AoE attack Pink Pirouette.

Now switch Erik's weapon to the two strongest boomerangs you have. An Oomphled Erik will clean up the leftover enemies using Twomerang without any effort.
4th Battle - The Seeds of Damnation

Turns Spent: 3 turns
Accumulated Turns: 21 turns

Things to take a note of:
Make sure to have an Elfin Elixir from Octagonia Casino on Serena's inventory. Having both Serena and Veronica pepped up is also crucial.

Strategy:
Start the battle by casting Magic Burst as Veronica. Serena should use the Elfin Elixir to replenish Veronica's MP. As soon as you can act, use the pep action Mighty Magic Burst.

You may have heard people saying Mighty Magic Burst can kill all enemies on the first turn. However this is simply not true in Draconian mode unless you have nearly maxed out both Veronica and Serena's MP using Seed of Magic. If you are not playing on Draconian Mode though, using the pep action by itself should be enough to finish the fight.
Closing Comments

I've re-attempted the final trial using this strategy multiple times. My fastest attempt is currently 21 turns and I'm sure it can be optimised even further.

As always please feel free to post any questions, feedbacks or comments on the comment section below.

Pretty sure those are much more easier to get from the Casino. Look up Roulettes, they're the best for getting a ton of tokens. Getting jackpots aren't as hard as it seems and they net about 300k per win I think?

Forgot the details but basically you have to talk to an NPC and see if getting a jackpot is possible, and save scum if you lose big.

Extremely late reply to this but is there another way to get elfin elixirs than octagonian casino? If not, are there any tricks to the casinos that would help.
