MUNI Breda LRV 3

Description
I decided to model out the older of today's utilized MUNI (San Francisco) light rail vehicles, as it was originally a request by landandskygirl. And normally, I'm a little reluctant on requests, as I'm not doing any of these for money (yet? haha). But I also really love the look of the Breda LRV 3.

This model has a middle car that's solely used to make the two parts more flexible in appearance. This one came out better than the Siemens S200 SF in that regard, so I'll have to eventually go back, and correct the Siemens in a similar fashion so it looks more natural when it makes turns.

When you subscribe, you will receive two versions of this tram:
--------------------------------------------
1) 2-car train for 120 passengers
2) 4-car train for 240 passengers

Both versions also include line color.

@Yannerrins Hey! I haven't actively been able to work on any assets lately, so I can't hop to a new version any time soon, sorry.

@Blue Thunder
Oh hey! Yeah, I really enjoy your assets! I've definitely subscribed to a few. I take it as a huge compliment that you'd want to reference my work! I sent a steam invite, but couldn't find you on discord for some reason (I check my discord message far more frequently than I'm ever on Steam these days, as I've been super busy away from my computer)

Hey Djantir, I do the Ryde assets on the workshop and I was wondering if you would be willing to give me permission to use your trams as a part of the project. If you were willing, youd get full credit in description and contributor status if you want it. If you are okay with me using them ,feel free to add me on steam or message me on discord BlueThunder#0001 Thanks :)

I don't think it's the poly count though, the train doesn't look like it has too much tris, sometimes there are just weird filesize things like thumbnail issues and such. But I would suggest taking a look there.

@ApollonDriver Beyond that, I'm not sure. If I can remember to, at some point, I can go in and look at the poly count. Pretty sure I reduced it down to only whatever I'd need, but I'm not entirely confident as these models are ancient news to me now, lol

I can definitely understand it, but while you can delete an asset you don't want from an asset pack in your local files, I think even that won't be enough as 25 MB is still a lot for a train.

@ApollonDriver So, one thing I realized is that the texture size is relatively large, but looking at some standards I've read up on, I don't think it's too unnecessarily large for a vehicle texture (especially one with text on it).

Looking back on these, it's because this is a package asset. You get two lengths of train when you subscribe to it. I did it that way because I'm absolutely not a fan of the import processes between both the game's asset editor, and also uploading to Steam. The processes aren't as streamlined as I would like. I know the con to that is not giving a player the liberty of downloading only one length, if that's all they wanted. But for my own sanity (as someone who doesn't have a super fast computer), I only want to import it only once, and be done with it.

WHY 50 MB?? It's so nice but 50...
djantir  [author] May 5, 2020 @ 3:37am
@Snipps I'd rather not, only in that I've never made my models or PSDs with the intention of other people seeing or utilizing the material. As a result, I do not make them nice and neat, so it's honestly not good for someone who's just learning. If I knock out the next vehicle soon enough, I'll try to tidy that up enough for you.
