WoW Classic: Dalaran Bubble

The City-State of Dalaran, situated on the edge of Lordamere Lake, was the pinnacle of human use and study of magic. The Council of Six of the Kirin Tor, the ruling conclave of mages, serves as the Magocracy for the city. Dalaran has served a critical role in many campaigns during the wars in the past and future. Pictured here is the famous "Dalaran Bubble" of Classic World of Warcraft. A few years prior, Dalaran was beseiged by the Death Knight Arthas and his undead army in pursuit of the spellbook of Medivh. The archmage Antonidas was slain during the attack. Arthas' servant, Kel'thuzad, used the Book of Medivh to summon Archimonde, who used his own magic to destroy the city in seconds. Ever since, the mages of Dalaran erected a barrier to rebuild their beloved city uninterrupted by the outside world.
