can't help but notice you picked out what is the smallest cruiser in UNSC history to represent Halo, i guess it is the most iconic but i want to see a comparison to a marathon class cruiser or a punic class carrier which probably the only ship in the pre-war UNSC fleet that can beet a imperial cruiser

Most exterminatus grade weaponry does absolutely nothing to a death star. Biological/chemical/radiation weapons designed for planetary conditions do nothing to a space station. Orbital bombardment would heavily damage the outer layers, but still leave up to 99% of the Death Star operational, and its not something that can be done in a timeframe of a spacebattle. Remember guys, that exterminatus destroys everything on the planet surface, the Death Star Laser one shots entire planets, a feat several magnitudes greater. It can EASILY one shot any ship.

Death star would just be hit with exterminatus grade weaponry, also even if we have to admit ISDs would have a huge advantage on maneuverability their lazer batteries would be considered point defense by the imperium, thus I would say void sheilds to be more than able to tank those indefinitely, 40k is just rertarded in scale its not really relevant to make those matchups, it was made to be over the top, see sizes above as proof

I think you are severely underestimating the size of the Death Star, and overestimating the power of a single unnamed custodian. now do I believe that a custodian would be able to kill to their heart's content if one ever boarded the Death Star, probably. however, I think it would take quite a bit longer than "a few minutes" to kill 2 million personnel by a single dude using a Guardian Spear and the occasional bolter round no matter how fast they are.

I like to think that a single Custodian Guard could take the death star in a few minutes. (which is probably true)
