This is a map of Beleriand based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion. For those of you who don't know, Beleriand is a land west of the Blue Mountains that existed during the 1st age of Middle Earth. It was here that the first Dark Lord, Melkor/Morgoth, rose to power, created the first orcs, and sought to destroy the elven race. The reason Beleriand cannot be found on a 3rd age map of Middle Earth is because after the War of Wrath (the 6th major war) Beleriand was sunk beneath the sea and, therefore, does not exist during the 2nd and 3rd ages. (Stories from The Silmarillion and Beleriand are, however, mentioned briefly throughout parts of The Lord of the Rings.) This map includes all landmarks within Beleriand and there are some unique details about the map:

1) This map is designed to be played at the Huge setting, if not larger. This map is fairly large and it can feel empty if not enough civilizations/city-states are present.
2) I was unable to create a proper Thangorodrim (Morgoth's fortress) because volcanoes aren't an option for tile placement. (any info on how to include volcanoes would be helpful)
3) Resource placement is mostly aimed towards medieval warfare and there are lots of iron and horses but when it comes to later game resources and luxury resources it can be a little light.
4) The rivers Sirion and Gelion are coast tiles which allows for ship navigation up and down those two rivers.
5) I have included a senario featuring default Cilivization V civilizations playing as the different kingdoms in Beleriand. *As always, to play without the senario simply do not check the box that says 'Load Senario' to play as any nation you want on the map.* However, if you do wish to try out the senario, the playable civilizations are:

-Kingdom of Doriath (Iroquois) *has the great wall acting as the Girdle of Melian*
-Morgoth (Zulu) *has entire map revealed to them (except Gondolin)*
-Hidden Kingdom of Gondolin (Ethiopia) *initially hidden from all other nations, even from Morgoth*
-Cirdan of Falas (Polynesia)
-Nargothrond (Rome)
-Dwarves (Inca)
-Kingdom of the Noldor (France)
-Dorthonion (Japan)
-Tol Sirion (Danish)
-Men of Brethil (Celts)
-Ossiriand (India)
-Men of Dor-Lomin (China)
-Men of Estolad (Russia)
-Sons of Feanor (Germany)

*I HAVE ATTEMPTED TWICE TO CREATE MY OWN CIVILIZATIONS FOR THIS MOD BUT SO FAR I HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME CREATE MY OWN, OR IS FEELING UP TO THE TASK OF DOING IT FOR ME, PLEASE LET ME KNOW VIA COMMENTS BELOW. ANY HELP ON THIS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED AS THIS IS THE NEXT STEP TO MY MOD.*

6) Morgoth begins the senario with 9 Naresuan Elephants which serve as his Balrog Army. They cannot be rebuilt so use them wisely.
7) Also included are several city-states that serve as either strategic points on the map (i.e. river crossings or mountain passes) or as obscure towns/locations on the map.
8) Several nations are also bound to either permanent war or permanent peace based on The Silmarillion. For those who do not know, the alliances are as follows:

-Morgoth is at war with Doriath, Gondolin, Cirdan, Nargothrond, The Kingdom of the Noldor, Dorthonion, Tol Sirion, and the Sons of Feanor. (So basically all the elven nations except Ossiriand)
-Doriath cannot declare war on the Men of Brethil.
-Gondolin and the Noldor cannot declare war on another.
-Falas, Nargothrond, Dorthonion, and Tol Sirion cannon declare war on another.
-The Noldor cannont declare war on the Men of Dor-Lomin.

If you have any problems or comments on how I could improve this map those would also be greatly appreciated and I will try to get to them as soon as possible. This is my first map/mod so I'm sure there are many things that I could have done better. Any information on what changes should be made would be greatly appreciated.

It's always nicew to see someone who appreciates Beleriand - I'd like to see a map with Beleriand and the land southeast of Lindon (TA world) conjoined though I realise it is quite big for civilisation
