Descrição
The 1 and only Schwarzkopf portable double loop with extended track, "Colossus the Fire Dragon" at the Lagoon park in Farmington, Utah, USA. Of course, it doesn't move any more, but it was designed to.

The footprint and height are the same as the real thing. The layout is VERY close and so are the supports, all of which are custom except the actual loops, although they do have large custom ballast tanks around their bottoms. There are about 1000 parts in both the supports and the station building.

What is NOT true-to-life is the station. In real life, the queue crosses a bridge over the brake run, then runs along beside the whole brake run, inside the footprint, to enter on the end of the station platform. The exit is on the other side of the platform, directly to the outside. It's impossible to do this in PC and still have a life-size layout because the wide entry side of the platform, with its cattle chutes, would be in the way of the helix that comes in close to the station. This forced me to put the entrance on the outside of the layout, backwards from the real thing. Also, the helix right up against the platform precludes having the exit on the inside, too, so both are on the outside. Having both entrance and exit on the same side of the platform so increases load time that the coaster can only run 2 trains instead of the real 3.

Station problems don't end there. The real station is 16m long and the 7-car train fills the whole thing. In PC, however, stations have 4m padding on each end. Also, the "SLV" Schwarkopf coaster in the game is hardwired to have a max of 6 cars. But even with a 20m station, the longest train the game allows is only 5 cars.

So there you are. Because of the limitations of the PC station platform and the SLV ride itself, this coaster only has 2 trains of 5 cars instead of 3 trains of 3, and the entrance and exit both are on the oustide of the layout. But otherwise, this is pretty much spot-on to real life.

NOTE: The station building is on the "back" of the ride. The blinky lights on the loop and lift all face the side of the ride opposite the station, where the queue begins is in real life. So unless you want to move or copy the lights to the other side of the coaster, you should put the station against the park boundary and run the queue around the end of the ride so the lights face the park and the start of the queue.

@Bullethead To be 100%, I downloaded it only to find I didn't have the required DLCs! (late comer to the game). But Colossus was (is) quite literally awesome, surprisingly intense for it's size, and really put you in your seat! The spirals had a surprising amount of g's. I don't ever remember being uncomfortable in the restraints, either. Lagoon has a couple older rides that are great.

@DealbreakerJones: Glad you approve! How does mine compare to your IRL experience

I grew up riding this roller coaster. Every time we went to Lagoon, we would ride it two or three times in a row the minute we showed up and it was the last ride we'd go on before heading home. Thanks for making this.

odd, subscribed to it, though not showing up in my game....even with the DLC added

I was just thinking I would like to tackle recreating this coaster. But then I realized someone may have already done so. And boy, did you!

This coaster means a lot to me. It's one I have many fond memories of riding while growing up in Utah, and it also involves memories of a friend off mine who passed away some time ago.

While you do mention it's not 100% perfect and the game won't allow you to make it so, I will say it's damn near close enough! I commend you for your efforts and great work!

Sure, I just need to figure out the layout of the ride first lol. No worries tho dude

@Mason, you'll have to do it yourself then. I don't redo stuff as non-DLC. I buy the DLC because _I_ want to use it. If you're too cheap to buy the DLC, that's your problem, not mine.

Yeah, I can live with that

@Mason: Without DLC, you can use one of the Arrow or Vekoma coasters but it wouldn't have the same track.
