Known issue - water colour doesn't match GUI map background. I've noticed that too late and was too tired to remake all of these versions. It takes much time just to manipulate texture file itself because of it's size, not mentioning all the screenshots and such stuff. Maybe someday I'll fix it.

Relevant for Kenshi v1.0.9
I'm using Dark UI, you may have noticed it on screenshots.
Materials used: original Kenshi map (GUI_Map.dds) located in game's folder; Map with zone names from wikia page[kenshi.wikia.com] used as reference; Various textures located at "Kenshi\data\newland\land\", such as heightmap (fullmap.tif) and roadmap (new_overlay.png).
Managing all these versions is pretty frustrating process, so... don't expect much updates.

Also, if you want to edit any of Nice Maps - feel free to do so. Would be nice if you'll mention me in description after that.

Thank you so much for this mod! I have heard some say this map mod can hurt the game and feels out of place, but I really like the way the mod makes the map look and its helped me out quite a bit for my first playthrough.

Excellent to have height levels, as this always lead error to AI pathfinding. Now player can avoid it.

@Shen Yiing Kuai, @Wild Law, I'm glad it turned out to be useful for you both. And yeah, borders and roads are not completely precise due to 'style' choice, hope it's not affecting usability that much. Wish you plentifully of cats and a best of luck in your adventures. :winter2019happyyul:

The borderlines for zones are a bit off but well within ballpark range.

@Winter, I'm sorry, but it doesn't edit anything in game but an image of a map. It shows the roads that exists in game, which your characters and npcs use by themselves.
There are also versions of this map without roads if you prefer so - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1613832925&tscn=1558321421 or use a regular map instead.
It can't affect reachability, it have no offset compared to original. Kenshi's world height map was used in creation of this, as well as road map, these can be found in game files.
I understand it can be harder to read this particular map for some people, yet I don't get what is your issue. You may try to command your squad to move to same coordinates from the same spot you have issues with this mod disabled - I guarantee you, result would be the same.
I'm honestly confused v( '_' )v

Nice map. The topo really helps me stop falling for fake coastlines and flat mountains, plus the roads are a nice touch.
