In this guide i will fully introduce SCP-079 as it calls "The old AI".

1.Goals and importance
The SCP-079 gameplay is goes fully in support class. He can only kill people with tesla rarely(in start-mid game), so you have to rely on other players to kill each other.

1.SCP-079 gives information to other SCPs that makes easier to find.
The most fastest SCP. Faster than 173 and 096. By his map and WASD he can fastly toggle between cameras and seek out people.
If some scientist heard MTF and will close himself in machine(914) waiting for rescue team, playing with 079 will make it worst nightmare. All SCP(except 106) doesn't know who behind doors with key-pass. They can waste time waiting for doors to open the empty room. SCP-079 will solve that problem very easy.

2. SCP-079 can open doors with key-pass on it.
It is easy for him to open any door with key-pass(usually those are 914 door, intercom and gates.

Also he can help/save an SCP in locked room or let SCPs kill someone in locked room. (Remember that 079 can even lock the opened door to prevent people closing it. Use it on very expensive doors(like gates or 914) to prevent trapping SCP in room.

3. SCP-079 makes other SCPs more powerful.
"Why?' - you ask. Let me tell how he is doing it for every SCP.

SCP-939 and SCP-079 - blood bath combo.
No matter will you run or crouching scp-079 will stop you while 939 catches you.

SCP-049 and SCP-106 now can catch all people.
Both of them have very bad debuffs. SCP-049 is very slow. By blocking the human's way doctor will easily catch up him. Same as 106 who has stupid attack mechanic. By the way, SCP-106 will love "lockdown room". Locking people with SCP-106 passing through doors makes easy kills.

SCP-173 is not very great combo in early game.
SCP-079 by locking the door gives chance for slow SCPs to catch a human but it drains AP. But with 173 in game, 079 has to drain all AP to make a kill. Sometimes 173 can fail to kill. Only in late game with 2+ access tier and MTF spawning in groups, 173 can make some easy kills in "lockdown room". He just need to hide in T-room or server room and wait for MTF coming in.

SCP-096. One word. nightmare.
I mean horridness. The most worst combo i ever saw. 079 hates broken doors. but 096 does this. But it still a little combo. SCP-096 hates when people abusing elevators when he's raging. But 079 can call the elevators by himself which will stop people abusing elevators.

4. Self-defense.
The important to save SCP-079 alive is to keep generators off. You can still leave some generators on(1 or 2) for gaining fastly AP but for safety still turn off all of them because you can gain regen AP by leveling up. Ask teammates to turn them off. When generators turns, the big red message appears on the screen.

5. If there is no SCP-Allies, plan B comes in action.
There is another option how to win as SCP. You can make Chaos and MTF fight each other until Chaos wins(meaning SCP win unless d-class has escaped). You can make MTF harder to turn on generators by spamming "lockdown room" and blocking doors for Chaos spawning.

The SCP-079 now auto-contain ones all SCPs died. Some servers may turn off this function, but it most likely to be an RP server.
2.Control and manipulate cameras
SCP-079 is not a human but very smart computer. So smart that he needs to know how to quickly switch through the cameras.

There are many types of switching cameras. They main hot-keys that controls it are
  1. [TAB]
  2. [SPACEBAR]
  3. [W] [A] [S] [D]


The [TAB] opens a map.
As you opened a map you can click on any room to move into. There is also markers of every room(like MIF room, EX B or SCP-173).
The map has four sections:
  1. Light contaiment zone
  2. Heavy containment zone
  3. Entrance zone
  4. The surface.
The map is useful in three ways. Navigating SCPs into specific location, quickly switch through sections or look for generator location.
About elevators search down.

There's a bug with information in top-left corner saying TRANSLATION_ERROR. To fix this bug look in this guide.
It will be helpful cause it gives information not in total of target but amount of every class.

The [SPACEBAR] switches modes of using a camera.
There are 2 modes.
First one as i like to call "Shooter mode" is then you having cursor staring in the middle of the screen(like in 3d shooters). It's not so good for controling doors and clicking cameras(click in the middle) but good combo with W A S D thing.

The second one is "Monitor mode" or "Regular mode". It makes your cursor freely look around the monitor to guickly manipulating around the room doors and stuff. If you go with a cursor to the specific screen edge(left) it will move camera. It useful if you need quickly close all doors in room because it's a lot easier to point&click on buttons.

You can also use both modes at the time for fast reactions. "Shooter mode" can quickly turn the camera while "Monitor mode" is good to click on doors and stuff.

[W] [A] [S] [D] keys are used to switch through cameras.
WASD thing is tricky one(i don't recommend to use for newbies). It depends on your camera location. But usually you can look to right-up corner for info about it. Every key has specific location to switch.
  • [W] - Forward look
  • [A] - to the left look
  • [D] - to the right look
  • [S] - back look
As an example of working i took picture of map and camera.
On this picture The camera facing(red line) to T-room means it will be W.
From his left side another T-room means it will be A.
From right X-room will be D because he is closer to our room and closer with line. And from the back WC room means S.
Now let's look on the Camera what it will say.

Everything is right but only S isn't. It says Corner, not WC room. As we can see on map the corner room is far away but due to the tricky camera stuff the game thinks that the camera position is in lil' bit right. It's hard to explain but this thing can be really tricky. Use WASD only in T-rooms or corridors but not X-rooms. In X-rooms cameras positions are unstable.

Remember that cameras remains in the last positions after you toggled. For WASD work correctly you need to move camera after you toggled. For that purpose "shooter mode" was made.

Elevators
And for ending to go from one section to another you need to switch camera to elevator room(or gate room) and press Sign button saying the location you are going (from light to "Heavy containment").
3.Doors,TESLA,EXP and Access tier
As you known SCP-079 is popular by trolling people, but how he trolls is very important stuff.

1.Auxiliary power.
This is your AP. You can spent this on everything. Here's the list of spending it.
  • Camera.
  • Door open or lock.
  • Speakers.
  • Checkpoint.
  • Elevators.
  • Door with key-pass.
  • Lockdown room.
  • Going through sections(not include Heavy-Entrance).
  • Gates.
About cameras. Cameras takes AP too. If you using map you maybe will notice that you can't. It's because you don't have enough AP. Just stay still and look around while you gaining AP... (it's like resting in bed to gain mana for next battle).

2.Control the doors.
The main weapon is doors. Doors doors and doors...
Blocking the way for fellow people are great opportunity for other scps(but be careful with 096 and grenades).
There are two options to manipulate door. Closing and opening or locking it. While it locked your AP drains. You can lock 2 or 3 doors but you won't going to get AP even 5 Generators on(balance game). By right-clicking you unlocking all doors. It can locked while opened to stop someone from closing it. While it locked only the 079 can open or close.

3.Control the other stuff.
The secondary weapon are: TESLA, Lockdown room, Elevators and e.t.c.
First is TESLA. The electrical gate that can stop anyone from passing. You can "interrupt" someone from passing it. But be careful because it fully drains your AP so don't you use unless you are the one left scp. Or use it if someone in hurry or escaping from someone.
Second is lockdown the room. Meaning Closing and locking door and switching light off in one room instantly. It give opporutiniy to scp-173 who loves darkness. Don't worry, all SCPs will see everyone in darkness. As meaning of lockdown the room i can preferly say that is the room of death. It opens in the 2nd Access tier(for balance in game).
The Elevators are different from doors and has very big delay. It can be helpful to prevent players safely raging 096(and going in elevator). Or just shorten the time takes for SCPs to get on other floor.

4.EXP and Access tier.
EXP gains from actions you making(opening doors. EXP for tesla(in 10 times) and "lockdown room"(in 13.33) gains more than usual.) or gaining from assist in kill. The best way to gain is assist. It easy works.
You need to make an action around the guy who will be killed like close the door in front him. You have to see the death of person. It can counts even from other people. Example: guard kills d-class even you didn't do anything. Important. It's need to be in you sight for counting as an assist. The mechanic of gaining are simple. If someone(mostly SCP) want to kill someone else in room, you have to make any action in this specific room(such as locking the door, opening/closing and e.t.c) to check this as assistant kill. Also you have to be in this specific room(you don't need to watch the kill but still have stay with camera on in this room to gain exp).

The access tier. You starting from 1st and ending to 5th. Every upgrade your AP limit increases (1st - 100, 5th - 200) and Ap gaining increases slightly but getting EXP from interaction getting harder.
4.How to counter SCP-079
Generators
The counter way is turning on all 5 generators. They can be turned on with key-card and tablet.

Generators has slot for tablet, cancel button and two scales.
Local voltage shows generator progress. Turning on takes 1 minute 10 seconds.
Total voltage shows how many generators turned.
If during the generator has turning on, the cancel button has been pushed, the tablet drops and Local scale slowly regress.


If generator's local scale is filled, the tablet will drop and generator's sign will say engaged with Cassie announcement about generator.
If all generators has been turned on, after a minute all heavy containment zone will turn into "lockdown room". It doesn't pretty change anything besides closed doors.

  • 079 room
  • 096 room
  • 106 room
  • 939 room
  • Checkpoint
  • Т-room w/ weaponary station
  • Micro-HID room
  • Nuke room
  • Server room
Nuke
Another easiest way to defeat SCP-079 is just nuke it.

Camera position
If one of any camera is not on his default position(usually it's looking forward) that means that the SCP-079 is in the game. It's better to know if SCP-079 is in game or not cause it can save your life from surprise attacks.

Camera restriction
Remember that the 079 cameras still as usual cameras who has visual restrictions. The most restricted cameras are placed in Entrance zone.

Camera glowing
Blue sing means he's inside the room and looking on you, red sing - he is not in the room or in the other.

Lockdown room
Notice that 079 can't make lockdown room if one of any doors in that room is broken. So if you know that in the next room are SCP and 079 be free to blow up that door for safety. Plus that 079 can't lock that broken door.

Grenades and ball
By destroying a door you take from 079 ability to use this door. Also he won't able to make a "lockdown room".

096 can be a good combo, just not the best, his speed and instakill can be useful for clearing 914 early-game. I instantly got access tier 2 by doing this.

Ok. I'm retarted but there is one thing. I said "SCP-173 is not very great combo in early game.". That means in late game it can be a great combo. The problem is that SCP-079 need to get the 2nd level for doing that. It means you need to kill some people by assisting or just interact with doors which process is really long.

As you know, you need to have 2nd tier. Some of the rooms can't be done with blackout(like 049). And you need to be sure that all doors aren't broken. If it still won't show, contact developers about the issue(bug).
