Intro:
Welcome to a short Guide to grinding XP for those that have decided not to Embrace any Citizens to gain XP
I created this guide because a friend of mine is also playing Vampyr and is in the same situation.
**This Guide was made Pre-Chapter 4 and before the West End District was unlocked.

If you are playing as the Good Doctor and not Embracing Citizens, you have probably discovered very early in the game that you are often under-leveled to your opponents.
Especially Bosses.
What to do?
You pretty much have only 2 choices to get the needed XP to Level-up.
Embrace a few Citizens or gind out Districts.
This Guide is for those that want to go with the latter.
*WARNING! - Be prepared for the most mind-numbing XP slog in any game ever.
This is the equivelent to hunting boars in Elwynn Forest.
How To:
At this point you should have 3 Districts open. The Docks (East, West and North), Pembroke Hospital and Whitechapel
Basically what is done is Curing the Sick in each District and clearing out the Mobs as you move between them.
It's as simple and as boring as it sounds and IMO shows some huge flaws in the game (ie- poor xp gain when leveling a "good guy", limited and static Mob Spawns.)

Here's what you do:
Starting at Whitechapel, cure everyone that is sick. Most should have a level 1 Illness (Fatigue, Cold, Headache) which costs the least amount of resources.
If you have been looting EVERYTHING and recycling your junk you should have plenty of materials.
Always cure everyone so they dont get worse. Level 2&3 Illnesses costs more resources, but dont give more XP.
It can also cause the District to become less stable. You dont want one to fall to Serious or Critical Condition
Each Cure gives only 25xp
Once you have cured everyone, move on through the streets towards Pembroke Hospital, eliminating the Priwen Vampire Hunters and Skals along the way.
The Spawns are spread out, but are Static, so it will be the same ones in the same place every time (Mob level will vary)
Each Mob kill gives only 5xp. It doesnt matter what the level is. A level 8 will give the same 5xp as a level 22. (Another flaw)
Once at Pembroke cure everyone there, then move on towards the Docks, again killing everything along the way.
Once at the Docks, cure everyone on the East side, move over to the West side (there are some Mobs in between if you want to go get them) and cure anyone there too.
You can then go over to the North Docks and kill a few more Mobs.
Once you are done, go to your Hideout and Rest. If you have enough XP to spend on skills you want to level up do so.
Confirm and Sleep to the next Night. (you dont have to spend points or "Evolve" to sleep)
The next night all the Citizens you cured will have recovered and all the Mobs you killed will have respawned.
Now you are going to do it all again but backwards. Docks > Pembroke > Whitechapel and Rest.
Rinse and Repeat. Isnt this fun?

Best case senario (xp gain wise) - More Citizens will get sick by the next night.
I know it sounds bad. You are the "Good Doctor" for heavens sake, but more sick Citizens mean more xp which means it takes much less time to get to the next level which is why we are going through this hell (and not eating them) in the first place.

Worst case senario - you get 1 sick guy all the way across town. Which means minimal xp.
Its a huge PITA to slog across town for 25xp + whatever you get from the Mobs.
Or even worse, you get 3 Sanitized Districts (No one is sick)

If this happens your best bet is to just sleep away another day and hope more Citizens get sick the next night, however you must first do something to affect the City in order for it to "evolve".
I had all 3 Districts Sanitized and tried sleeping away 4 days, but nothing changed until I went out and did something.
Even if its killing 1 Priwen or curing 1 Citizen. You must affect some type of change in the City or nothing will happen.
This also can be done to "pad" your Rounds (ie- get more people sick at one time).
I do this by sleeping at the Hideout in the West Docks outside Sean Hamptons. I just drop down and kill the 3 Priwen in the Warehouse right outside, then pop back into my Hideout for a nap and hope more Citizens get sick the next night.
When I feel I have enough to make the trip worth the trouble (there are never enough) I head out on my Rounds.

If youre lucky, you should make somewhere about 400-600 XP per completed Rounds
Wrap Up:
And there you have it. The most horrible xp grind you will ever experience

The Good - You get a lot of crafting materials and can make a bit of coin as you slooooooowly gain xp.
You also get to practice your fighting technique, and find what Skills you like and dont like (respec is "only" 250xp. Use it wisely).
So you got that going for you. Which is nice.

The Bad - Pretty much everything else. Spawns are static and never change so it gets really monotonous really fast. And the xp is for sh!t for the work done
I guess thats the price we pay for being "The Good Doctor"

Level-up and Git Gud so you can bash that stupid &$^@#* Bosses face in.

...Did every side quest possible, including rescuing Louise Teasdale. Killed every ghoul and Priwen I encountered again and again. Did not use guns, to conserve ammo. Hags (sorry, 'ill-formed skals') typically have the most useful medical supplies. Sold hundreds of looted weapon parts to merchants to gain shillings (had 20-30K). Was able to gather 10-12 parts of WHITE PHOSPHORUS and sodium hydroxide just by looting random dead enemies (usually higher-level Priwen) while still in Chapter 4!
Eventually got to over 80,000 XP. Then I slept, blew it all and jumped to level 48. Reid was such a killing machine, he tore though all enemies like tissue paper. So it was a breeze to collect enough XP to get to level 50.
I then proceeded through the remaining chapters. Bosses were no challenge at all - the fights were over in 5-10 seconds! The final boss took longer, but the battle was still downright easy, even in hard mode. Worth it!

My second run-thru (Hard mode) I went for 'No Embrace' and followed a similar strategy. Before finishing chapter 4, I aimed for power level 50 just to feel juiced. It seems that you must spend about 4000 XP to increase your power by 1 level. Reid was around level 26 so it was definitely a grind!
I waited until citizens were CRITICALLY ILL with sepsis, pneumonia or neuralgia before treating them (heartless doctor) to get 100 XP each. I watched to make sure no district slipped into 'hostile'. Hit the old morgue over and over to scoop up free medical ingredients from skals. Repeatedly bought all of Dorothy's stash of clove & codeine (cheapest source) since those are most difficult to scavenge.
PATTERN: Sleep without spending XP / Treat only the very sick / Kill & loot enemies / Repeat.

Outdated:Each advancement of a disease now doubles its rewards. It's not worth it, because each advancement requires more than double what the last did--but since the district can't get worse from someone who's at the last stage staying there, it might be worth actively ignoring critical citizens to encourage disease spread.

The irony is that the final boss is simple if you encounter her at a low level (good doctor), and a nightmare if you are a high level (evil vampire). The exact opposite as the rest of the game.

Hello, this method can work on hard to?

I mean, you don't really need to grind to complete the game. I would say Level 28 is the right level to beat the game while making sure no one dies.

And I think this was done by design. It is meant to tempt you into feeding for an EXP Boost instead of steeling yourself and being a good guy...which is kind of like what it is for Dr. Reid being a vampire and being tempted to drink.
