Introduction
First and formost, thank you for spending some of your time looking over this guide! Please note, some information may become outdated with patches and updates. I ask anyone to help patch up anything thats out of date. I also ask anyone to help fill in some holes if there are any.

Somethings that may help!

  • Footsteps are your best friend! Know your threats and allies.
  • Chaos footsteps are heavy sounding boots.
  • Class-D and Scineitsts have identical footsteps.

Class-D are commonly known as "D-Boys", as for Scientists, they're commonly known as "Nerds".
NTF and the Guards are mostly called NTF.
Chaos Insurgency are mostly called CI or Chaos.

Don't linger too long in LCZ, usually within the first 10 (possible 5 depending on how fast the SCPs move, and whoever finds 914 first) minutes of a round, the area is empty (with the exception of some newbies). If you're trying to find a way out early on, utilize the markings above the doors. Research Supervisor cards (dark yellow) open check points. Use them if you wish to meet up with the guards early on (or death). Facility managers are also better if found

With that being said, if you're new or old, I welcome everyone to help possible make this a somewhat passable guide!
SCP-049
Object class: Euclid
Description: SCP-049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor. While SCP-049 appears to be wearing the thick robes and the ceramic mask indicative of that profession, the garments instead seem to have grown out of SCP-049's body over time, and are now nearly indistinguishable from whatever form is beneath them. X-rays indicate that despite this, SCP-049 does have a humanoid skeletal structure beneath its outer layer.

Introduction/How to Play: SCP-049 goal is to "cure" everyone. By this, he means to turn everyone into zombies. To cure those infected, hold E over the patient in need of care. The lower your health is the faster you'll aid them. Upon a susccessful operation, you'll have a zombie!

Misconceptions: None so far!

Interesting facts: SCP-049 is also known as "Doc", "Plague Doctor". SCP-049-2 are also known as "Zombies", "Airplanes". 049s footsteps are light, sounding almost like heels. Know this incase you hear him.
SCP-079
Object Class: Euclid
Description: SCP-079 is an Exidy Sorcerer microcomputer built in 1978. In 1981, its owner, █████ ██████ (deceased), a college sophomore attending ███, took it upon himself to attempt to code an AI. According to his notes, his plan was for the code to continuously evolve and improve itself as time went on. His project was completed a few months later, and after some tests and tweaks, █████ lost interest and moved on to a different brand of microcomputer. He left SCP-079 in his cluttered garage, still plugged in, and forgot about it for the next five years.

Introduction/How to Play: Heres a good tip to share with your friends! TAB is and WILL be your best friend! This brings up the map of whatever zone you're in. However, be mindful that this'll consume a bit more power then camera-to-camera! But it's worth the effort!

Misconceptions:

If 079 is on the surface, he can't die!
This is false. 079 is not a camera, it is a computer.

Shooting 079 in his chamber kills him
Before, this was true, and was one of the effective methods (nuking is just overkill) to kill him. Now, he is hardwired into the system, thus giving him the ability to look throughout the facility. Going to his chamber is a waste of time.

Interesting facts: 079 is also known as "AI", Computer. An obious one, but whenever the LCZ/HCZ cameras are operated by 079, they'll turn blue. However, Entrance Zone do not possess these cameras but sphearical ones. Looking closely at them (using a night vison scope helps), once can see the camera piece moving. Use this information to alert your team.

Acess Tier information: As a side note, each generator powered up increases 079s AP recharge. Bemindful when hes on higher AT. Same with an increase in tier.

AT 1 - Starting postion. Map, camera toggle, door toggle and lock.

AtT 2 - Ability to lockdone zones. (Lights turn off, all doors are locked. Players are "blind" and SCP-173 can freely snap their necks.)

AT 3 - (I'm unaware of what else he obtains in these later tiers, information will be much obliged!)

AT 4 -

AT 5- Ability to activate nuke(?)
SCP-096
Object Class: Euclid
Description: SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition. Arms are grossly out of proportion with the rest of the subject's body, with an approximate length of 1.5 meters each. Skin is mostly devoid of pigmentation, with no sign of any body hair.

Introduction/How to Play: SCP-096 has been terminated by automatic-- SCP 096 can work strategically with 173, 079 and in somecase, 049. Most of the time, 096 will be running after everyone in the facility picking off everyone one-by-one. Due to his slow walk speed and charge up, he can easily get gunned down. Working with 173, he can force players into either having their necks snapped or risking 096s rage. However, in a group, this plan can prove futile.

Misconceptions:

He can destroy any door!
No, he can only destroy most regular doors and key doors. Blast doors are obvious but, he cannot destroy the nuke room door (outside CI spawn). He also cannot break airlock doors (the room where another door closes when you open it).

I don't wanna mark this as a misconception, but would like to put it here. You do not need to directly look at him (crosshair over him), he may just need to be within your PoV to be triggered. This needs to be confirmed, however.

Interesting Facts: SCP-096 is also known as "Shy guy", "Cry baby". 096s emits a loud crying noise, with disturbing noise as he walks throughout the facility. Hearing this will allow you to react before it's too late. He'll begin screaming once his face has been looked at.
SCP-106
Object Class: Keter
Description: SCP-106 appears to be an elderly humanoid, with a general appearance of advanced decomposition. This appearance may vary, but the “rotting” quality is observed in all forms. SCP-106 is not exceptionally agile, and will remain motionless for days at a time, waiting for prey. SCP-106 is also capable of scaling any vertical surface and can remain suspended upside down indefinitely. When attacking, SCP-106 will attempt to incapacitate prey by damaging major organs, muscle groups, or tendons, then pull disabled prey into its pocket dimension. SCP-106 appears to prefer human prey items in the 10-25 years of age bracket.

Introduction/How to Play: 106 is a man feared by everyone who wishes to see the surface, only to drag them to his pit of hell. 106 can walk through solid matter (doors) and can create way points (by pressing tab) they can go to just incase someone wishes to break their femur. However, people in the pocket dimension can drop items to mark a safe way, or their dead body can server as a hint. 106 is a fearsome foe unless dealth with.

Misconceptions: None right now!

Interesting facts: While sporting the lowest health for a SCP, he has bullet resistance and only takes ~2 damage. This may need furture testing, however. Gernade damage, however, is unknown. 106 will emit a "snow walking" sound effect. Hearing this anywhere near you, you should begin to run or get out of whatever room you're in. 106 has a short range but do not contest him.
SCP-173
Object Class: Euclid
Description: Moved to Site-19 1993. Origin is as of yet unknown. It is constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint. SCP-173 is animate and extremely hostile. The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight. Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP-173. Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking. Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation. In the event of an attack, personnel are to observe Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures.

Introduction/How to Play: Players will blink every few seconds, allowing you to move a set distance. At lower health, you'll zoom across the floor. Don't wait to get behind them to snap their necks, most of the time players are mobile and running around while turning back. Keep clicking until you eventually get near them, and you may score a lucky broken neck. Work with 079 to utilize his lockdown ability to benifit both yourself and him. However, keep in mind, a group of Chaos or NTF can easily shoot you down if you're above ground. You may have a lot of health, but it means nothing if you're getting shot at by a dozen NTF.

Misconceptions: None so far!

My trusty flashlight!
It is unknown if this trick works in a locked down room, but those with elevator lights (Nuke hall, 049 hall, possible LCZ elevators) still renders you "blind", even if you enter them.

Interesting facts: SCP-173 is also known as "Peanut". 173 emits a "cinder rubbing" sound when he scoots across the floor. Hearing this on any side of a blast door, be aware of any incoming 106 or 079 to your location.
SCP-939
Object Class: Euclid
Description: SCP-939 are endothermic, pack-based predators which display atrophy of various systems similar to troglobitic organisms. The skins of SCP-939 are highly permeable to moisture and translucent red, owing to a compound chemically similar to hemoglobin. SCP-939 average 2.2 meters tall standing upright and weigh an average of 250 kg, though weight is highly variable. Each of their four limbs end in three-fingered claws with a fourth, opposable digit, and are covered in setae which considerably augment climbing ability. Their heads are elongated, devoid of even vestigial eyes or eye sockets, and contain no brain casing. The jaws of SCP-939 are lined with red, faintly luminescent fang-like teeth, similar to those belonging to specimens of the genus Chauliodus, up to 6 cm in length, and encircled by heat-sensitive pit organs. Eye spots, sensitive to light and dark, run the length of their spined dorsal ridges. These spines may be up to 16 cm long and are believed to be sensitive to changes in air pressure and flow.

Introduction/How to Play: Pressing V enables you to talk with other teams. Use this to your advantage. Be mindful, thought, as your playermodel phases through blast doors. If you phase through, the ruse is ruined. Most of the time you will spawn with another 939 (but not all the time). Try work together to wrangle any teams or work with the other SCPs. Most of the time you do win with CI (however, some servers do not allow this), try to befriend them if you can. If you got shot at, you recieve a speed boost for as long as you get shot. You can play deceptive but just remember those who died are watching; try to play smart early on to pull off anything nasty. A good 939 is a tricky 939. Bumping into people who are "walking" (pressing C) will reveal them to you. Surprise them by going after them.

Misconceptions:

They're friendly/They'll speak to the SCPs for me!
No one is your friend. Trust no one.

Interesting facts: SCP-939 is also known as the "Dog", "Froglegs". 939 emits almost identical foot steps to those of Class-D and Scientists. It may be hard to tell, try looking at doors for thier playermodel poking out.
