Weapons and Attachments - Prices and Shop Availability.
By Xander77
While playing the game I thought it might be useful to figure out what weapons and attachments I can afford, and where I can find them. So I compiled the info, and now I'm sharing it with you.

Introduction - how prices work.
One of the nice things about writing (and, hopefully, reading) this guide is that prices in Metro Last Light are very internally consistent, if not realistic. An extended magazine costs the same and sells for the same price whether it is installed on a Lolife or a Preved. The same goes for every other attachment. A fully modded weapon will sell for the price of the basic weapon + the price of each attachment. Everything is universally interchangeable (if applicable). This means that evaluating what a weapon is worth at a glance is midly complicated (unless you have this guide handy :) ). For example, the Ashot is a really cheap pos, but you'll rarely see the basic version - it usually comes with a stock at the very least, if not a bunch of other attachments, so it might be worth a bit more than a proper gun.
Weapon and attachment prices.
The price format goes as follows: The price a weapon / attachment is bought for on Hardcore mode / the price it's sold for on Hardcore mod, then the same for Normal mode, the the price it's sold for on Ranger mode (both Ranger modes use the Normal mode prices when buying, but severely reduce the price stuff is sold for)

Shops.
I think the chapter names don't spoil you (much). So as you're playing, find a chapter list and figure out how long you have until the next shop.

The shop at:
Bolshoi Sells: Bast*rd, Duplet, Tikhar, Revolver
Bandits Sells: Kalash, Shambler, Lolife (this is the only level that has both a shop and enemies, so you can earn a lot of $$$ here by looting and selling all the bandit weapons)
Venice Sells : Valve, Kalash, Duplet (includes the 4 barrel upgrade for the Duplet, which you can’t get elsewhere), Ashot. You can't go back to the shop here once you've engaged the bandits.
Undercity Sells: Saiga (the only place you can buy it), Revolver, Kalash 2012
Quarantine: Kalash 2012, Helsing, Ashot
Depot Sells: Tikhar, Preved, Lolife
D6 Gives you: Valve, Kalash, VSV, Kalash 2012, Shambler

Hope you found this guide useful. Rate and / or favorite so that other people will see it, comment if you think I should add something.

I know I’m late but the Ashot is not a POS! Just finished the game with it and a revolver.

You're missing the VSV price.

Been a while since I played, but I don't think so? You can replace weapons wth other weapons in the enivronment, and sell weapons off - but you have to keep at least one, which the game won't let you sell.

I just took a look at the shops in Bandits since I was doing the achievement for 1000 MGRs, and it looks like there was some variation.

I don't think so. At least, no one mentioned tha before, nor is that something mentioned when describing difficulty modes.
