UPDATE: All content for Hitman 2 has been released, all Elusive Targets have ended, curating and featuring of new contracts has ended. This guide now serves mainly as an archive for historical date information.

This guide tracked all seasonal and monthly content release dates for missions, escalations, challenge packs, elusive targets, etc. Current Monthly let you see what was coming soon at a glance. The rest of the guide archived all game content with release dates since game launch by category. The guide was updated whenever new information became available. There is not likely to be new information related to Hitman 2, but if there is it will be added.

Information on Hitman 3 will be in that games guide section, if and when the game comes to Steam.

Note: To access missions and escalations that are not part of the campaign, use the DESTINATIONS menu to navigate by location. To access featured or curated contracts, use the CONTRACTS menu and select FEATURED CONTRACTS.

Hitman 2 Current News Links

There is no content or patches scheduled for this game.

Multiplayer Shut Down Announcement[www.ioi.dk]
On August 31, 2020 both Sniper Assassin co-op mode and Ghost Mode (versus competitive play) were announced to be closing down and the servers removed. Neither of these multiplayer modes will return for Hitman 3.

Edit September 2020: Contrary to the original news, co-op mode was not shut down on the same day as Ghost Mode and remains available. No news was posted about this.

Elusive Target Schedule Archive (Service Ended)

Elusive Targets were limited time events, a new target was added to an existing location for a short duration with a real time end date. You were given one chance to attempt each target. If you missed the event window, you can not play.

Note: The Undying, The Revolutionary, The Appraiser, The Politician, The Undying Returns, The Serial Killer and The Stowaway were re-run one additional time in 2020. No additional targets will be released or re-run for Hitman 2.

*The Deceivers is the first time two previous Elusive Targets (which had appeared in Hitman (2016) are being combined into one mission to be completed simultaneously. These targets originally appeared separately as The Guru and The Congressman in Sapienza during season 1.

**The Undying / Undying Returns is the only target to include item unlocks, both versions include a different item unlock (exploding pen, toy robot (flash explosive device)) ~ You were able to play each version (with a new name) one time each. Items (not suits) are rewarded for starting the mission, completion not required. (Originally announced as having a third version, it was cancelled and only two of them released)

Note: Mumbai Suit Reward has been moved to Escalation Mission: The Divine Descendance

Mumbai is no longer planned to have an Elusive Target released.

Content Calendar Archive Year 2020

New road maps and new content ended in December 2019. Content Calendars began in January 2020 and were used to announce featured / curated contracts, reactivation of elusive targets and monthly ioi live streams. All live services appear to have ended as of June 2020. Multiplayer servers and modes (both coop and versus) shut down August 31, 2020.
