Bot Mimic Q&A

Introduction

Do you ever wanted to play around with bots or look at your amazing cosmetics and unusuals... well then you are at the right place because this map is pretty fun... it's just a bit complicated to start the map if your are a noob in putting commands in to the console.

|---PREPARATION---|

- Before starting any map, make sure you set "maxplayers" to any number from 1 to 32 before loading the map. (25 or more can lead to crashes so be aware!)

- After loading the map, type "sv_cheats 1; sv_allow_point_servercommand always" (you can copy this whole string) into the console.

- First thing to do when on map: Press the right button to test if "sv_cheats 1; sv_allow_point_servercommand always" is activated. If nothing happens copy this string again and make sure to copy the entire comand ("example"). Then press the left button to enable other important setting for your (local)server.

I can't load the map

Dude, idk, I've called it bot_mimic, so it should be called like that for you. If not... i can't help. It has something to do with the workshop, you have to restart TF2 or just wait for it to show up in console. People also say it's called: workshop/1569121445. Maybe you can do something with this info.

I only have 2 Bots

Type "sv_cheats 1; sv_allow_point_servercommand always" into the console BEFORE pressing ANY button.

Bots aren't spawning

There could be many things wrong:

-"sv_cheats" is not set to 1 (sv_cheats 1)

-"sv_allow_point_servercommand" is not set to always (sv_allow_point_servercommand always)

-"maxplayers" is set to 0

A window sais "ed_alloc no free edicts"

You have to change "maxplayers" to a reasonable amout e.g. 24 so that there won't be too many entities

Bots are in the same row

Go back to spawn with the "OFF" button and spawn the bots again

I don't know what those buttons mean

There should be text displayed, explaining what the button does

I have fallen in a "bot-row"

Just "noclip" outa there

1. you use any hit-scan weapon on those buttons
2. you use the ingame console to execute commands
