Add or Remove Character names

A quick guide on how to Add and Remove character names to/from the game.

How to Add or remove names from the game.

Adding and removing names to/from the game is quick and easy. Here are the steps:

1. Go to My Computer and open wherever you saved the game to. (Default: Local Disc (C:))

2. Open Program Files, or Program Files (x86), depending on what version of Windows you have.

3. Find and open steam, then open steamapps, then common.

4. Here you will find the list of games. Find and open Rogue Legacy.

5. Once you have opened Rogue Legacy, there will be 2 folders. Open the Content folder.

6. Inside the Content folder, there should be 2 files named HeroineNames and HeroNames.

7. Open either of these files in notepad and it will list all the names of what gender you picked. Now all you need to do to add or remove names is to simply add or remove them from the list and hit save. (Not "Save as")

And you're done. Now you should/should not see one of those names when choosing a heir.

Please note that I have not removed any of the original names, so I do not know the effects of removing them from the game if one of your characters had that name.

There is an easier way to get to the content folder: If you right click on the game name in your library and go to properties and then local files you can browse the local files which will let you bypass the first four steps.
