Love Game and Love Distance really threw mistakes I made in real life in my face. And I will never have a chance to reach Love Detective at this point in life. Still a really good story game though.
There is a way to get the "So Far So Close" ending while doing the entire run, something I did on my first play.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is literally clicking on every object in that last sequence (the middle slider scene). You essentially run out of options and you have no choice but to say that you will "let her go".
Mechanically it is no different, but I do like that narratively it feels better than just seeing Grace off at the ferris wheel scene.
The stories are… decent. They aren’t perfect, but good enough. The dialogues though isn’t really well written. I think I got the main point of these stories and that’s the most important. Maybe it’s an issue of English translation, but I won’t know for now since my Mandarin sucks ass, hahaha.
That being said, the game is quite heart-warming and thought provoking in a sense, especially the first one — I found it personally touching, like “think outside the box”, try to solve problems, and so on.
Nice piece of media, what I can say!
Good luck to the devs!
P.S: Hopefully I’ll visit China soon, miss the country :(
