Lunar Forge Patch 2.1

Description
If you have ever explored the bandit infested Silent Moons Camp you may have happened upon a curious forge at the top of a long stairway known as the Lunar Forge. A nearby book "Notes On The Lunar Forge" describes some unique properties of weapons crafted at the forge. Unfortunately, this forge does not possess these extraordinary qualities in the released game. This mod restores the legacy of the Lunar Forge to its rightful glory. As described in "Notes On The Lunar Forge", weapons crafted at the forge will now be imbued with an enchantment that "While the moons are out, absorb <mag> points of health."

------------------------
Notable Changes
------------------------
- The Lunar Forge imbues weapons crafted there with the Lunar Siphon enchantment.
- The enchantment Lunar Siphon now absorbs health as opposed to the precarious effects of the former enchantment.
- Former instances of the enchantment Silent Moons Enchant are now replaced with Lunar Siphon.
- Enchanting is disabled for all items with Lunar Siphon. If you already acquired Silent Moons Enchant, this mod will not unlearn it but will replace it with Lunar Siphon.

Since 2.0
- Lunar weapons no longer need soul gems to recharge; they are power by the moons.
- The Lunar Forge can be used to create Lunar weapons only while the moons are out. (after 9 pm and before 5 am)
- The Lunar Forge will exhibit a mild blue glow while the moons are out.

Since 2.1
- Fixed a bug where fast traveling away from the Lunar Forge could cause the game to freeze upon returning to the Silent Moons Camp.

------------------------
Compatibility
------------------------
This mod should be compatible with most other mods. Conflicts may occur with any mod that changes the former Silent Moons Enchant enchantment or changes weapons that used it. This mod is incompatible with any other mod that changes forges or weapon recipes (since most of them are overridden by this mod.) New types of forges created by other mods will not contain any standard weapons unless they override their recipes, but overriding a weapon recipe will cause the weapon to show up at the Lunar Forge along with its lunar equivalent. Mods that introduce new weapon recipes can still be crafted at the Lunar Forge but will not have the Lunar Siphon enchantment.

Is it possible to have this mod with the original enchantment? A quest along with the Lunar Forge was something I always thought was needed. :)

Just wondering, would this fix my crashing issue when I near Silent Moons Camp? I've had this for a while, I can't find the fix anywhere...

I love this mod. However, there are a few issues that I feel need adressed in it. One is the factor you can not break down the enchantment on the weapons and use them on other weapons. The original enchantment that they had you could do this with. However, it was removed and replaced. I feel both versions of the enchantment should be useable on the enchanting table. as far as the forge is concerned awesome job! however it still needs the rest of the weapon sets fleshed out with forgable versions of the lunar variations. I hope this recieves an update that adresses theses issues cause it would put this mod on top of everyones list.

an interesting mod, to say the least. are you going to try to figure out how to make it so that weapons added via other mods are included by this effect? and is it possible to add additional enchantments to weapons created by this forge?
A very silly man indeed Feb 26, 2013 @ 11:25pm
The Unofficial Skyrim Patch affects the Silent Moons Enchant to actually make it work (it doesn't do anything in the original game). I'm glad to say that this mod successfully functions with the unofficial patch installed! At least, in my experience. You might want to make a note of that.

Could you makea version of this mod that only adds the lunar siphon enchantment instead of replacing the older one?
