Drake Cutlass Black (SV)

Descrição
The Drake Cutlass Black manufactured by Drake Indutries from the Star Citizen universe. This is a redesign/retexture/modification of an SV originally created by saschaf81. I thought that it was good enough to share so I contacted sascha and asked if I could upload this reworked blueprint to the workshop with permission and was kindly granted the go-ahead. Thank you saschaf81 !

More Star Citizen themed ships by me :
Drake Buccaneer - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1551624770

This ship is designed to be used in a PVE game. Design choices came first, which means sacrificing multiple layering of blocks. You have been warned LOL !

This SV will fit through a 9x5 hangar door. It's mostly a full retexture and added some more thrusters and blocks here and there. I took some liberties with the design of the ship to suit my tastes, so it is not exactly true to the design in Star Citizen. There is full signal logic throughout the ship for interior lights, LCD's, exterior and interior doors and ramps.

There is one exception, the door into the cockpit from the hangar area will not trip the motion sensor. This is intended, kind of like a security measure. You can activate it manually, and once inside the cockpit the door will activate when the motion sensor is triggered. It will open automatically when you are leaving the cockpit and automatically close behind you. To enter again, you have to manually activate the door. This is so you can place a passcode on the door if you wish.

Sascha's original design was a size class 2 (2.40). With the additions and changes I made the size class has been bumped up to 3 (3.48). The overall dimensions of the ship have not changed. See what adding motion sensors and lights with signal logic can do to a ship ?

The "P" menu of the ship has the normal use for ship control that everyone is familiar with.
Custom 1 - Turns on/off ALL RCS for the ship.
Custom 2 - Turns on/off spotlights.
Custom 3 - Turns on/off the 3 mobile constructors.

The Signals section has customized signal logic.
Signal 1 Minimum Thrust - Basically an economy mode for movement and power that focuses on conserving energy
and allowing slow ship movement in all directions with minimum use of RCS, thrusters,
and generators. This is the mode I would recommend for moving the ship into position for
landing/docking and an alternative to an "idle mode" where all thrusters and RCS are off.
Signal 2 Normal Thrust - This is the mode I would recommend for normal ship flight controls. Powers additional RCS,
thrusters and generators.
Signal 3 Maximum Thrust - ALL RCS, thrusters, and generators are powered on. Also recommended to use when in
combat.
Think of these 3 signals as steps in power effeciency. Signal 1 must be active to move the ship or an alternative to "idle mode". Signal 1 must be active to use Signal 2, and Signal 2 must be active to use Signal 3. Using these signals in this manner will ensure effeciency in power usage, and power consumption hasn't exceeded 64% in my testing of these signals.

****WARNING**** using these signals out of sequence will have unintended results in performance. The universe won't implode or the ship will not self-destruct (but that would be cool). Just remember the 3 steps.

Signal 4 Navigation Lights - Toggles on/off the external lights. Helpful to keep power usage down and light color bleeding into the ship. For IMMURRRSHUNNNNN !

Upgrading/Changing the weapon loadout :
There are "cylinder blocks" on the front of the ship in the nacells (wings) and on either side of the cockpit that can be removed to add to the ship's arsenal of weapons. The ship currently comes with 4 miniguns, 4 homing rocket launchers and 2 rail guns. These give variety of armament while keeping the ship level requirement at 15. Feel free to change out to whatever you like as you level up, just don't forget to add them to the weapons group when you make additions or changes.

Upgrading/Changing the center rear thruster :
The center rear thruster is a Large (3x7x3). If you would like to upgrade it to an XL (3x10x3), just remove it and the truss blocks behind it until you see blocks with an "x" inside of a circle. You can now fit an XL thruster into the same space. Don't forget to manually add it to the correct group and update the signal logic for it. Check the grouping and signal logic on the large one, take notes, and make the necessary adjustments after placing the new one. You can also upgrade the other thrusters everywhere on the ship but will take away from my design, but feel free to do so if you wish.

If you have made it this far, thanks for taking the time to fully read the description. There are elements of other people's work implemented into this design (LCD's, galley design, sleeping bunks, shower & toilet deco, etc.) but I can't remember what I got from where. If there is something in this design that you personally created and would like acknowledgement for, just let me know. I will credit you in the description. I am going to release more Star Citizen themed ships for Empyrion as time permits and with permission from other designers, make changes to some of their work. I hope to have a Star Citizen themed collection for use in the future.

****There is also a surprise in the Hangar Bay not shown in the screenshots. Remove it if you wish. :)
