Battlefield 1 models: German MGs PROPs

Put this off for way too long. Wanted to wait until I had a few more guns ready but hey ho.

Parabellum MG14

An adaptation of the famed MG08, designed for use in aircraft. It feature a simplified receiver and the ejection port was located below the receiver rather than below the barrel. Due to it's usage on planes the water-cooled jacket of the MG08 was swapped for an air-cooled shroud. Despite being made with aircraft in mind, some examples ended up being used by infantry, a change made easy the presence of a pistol grip and stock on the gun.

Maxim MG08/15

A portable version of the MG08 machinegun designed to allow for portable automatic fire. It featured a "stepped down" receiver to decrease weight, a lighter and narrower water jacket, a bipod, pistol grip and stock. It was a resounding success with the Germans, it's first battle resulting in high French casualties. It went on to become the most common German machinegun of the First World War, with the total amount of guns in use eclipsing the MG08 itself at 130000 guns compared to the MG08s 72000. While the majority of these guns were confiscated by the Allies after the war, the ones that remained in German service were upgraded and served up until the end of the Second World War. It was so common in fact, that even today "08/15" is a German idiom for something common or mundane.
