How to kill screecher and pufferfish

Before we start excuse me for my bad english!



I hope this will be an easy guide and help for every newbie player who can't really figure out how to kill the screecher and pufferfish. There might be pro players who can kill screecher with bare hands but these guys are way better than us. I advice you guys to use bow and metal arrows for both screecher and pufferfish since you don't have to aproach them and as far as i saw the metal arrow deals more damage than the metal spear, see the pufferfish fight. You need 3 metal arrows to kill him and 5 metal spear stabs. Again you can do it 2+2 or 6-2. Just don't be rude with each other!

Screecher

There are a couple of ways to kill the screecher 2+2=4 or 6-2=4 both are good don't attack somebody if he is not playing your way !

1. You can kill it with stone arrows which is more comfortable for newbie players who can't really dive to get metal ore and stuffs ! The things you need are a bow and craft as many arrows you can because not every shot will hit ! Depends on your skills . After you crafted your arrows just simply get on the island and wait for screecher to take the rock and aproach you ! So right before he is above you all you need to do is just aim with your bow in the air and as soon as he is above you just release the arrow! The thing is you and him will release the arrow and rock at the same time so you have to be fast. Right after you both released your ammo you might want to sprint forward! If you see that is not working you can sprint + jump forward ! Both ways are good. Again, depends on your skills !

2.The second way is with metal arrows. You might want to learn metal arrows since they got in the game with the latest update so first you need to learn them at the research table! The method is just like the first one but it's easier to kill the screecher since metal arrows deal more damage than stone arrows! Just follow the steps from the first part but using metal arrows.

3.There might be a third way to kill the screecher with the spear.There are 2 types of spear. If you really want to chase the screecher with a spear at least use the metal spear since it deals more damge. Since the screecher is flying way more above you , you can't really stab him even if you jump. Sometimes it just fly near you and you can try to stab him but 5% chance you hit him! However there is a way. He has a move. A different flying move when he is going for a rock ! You will know when he wants to get the rock so you might want to sprint for him and right after he landed you can stab him ! It's very hard because he more often land far away from you , until you get there he is already in the air with the rock ! If you want to challenge yourself you can try with the spear but i might go on the first 2 ways !

Pufferfish

Same as the screecher you can kill pufferfish with stone arrows, metal arrows or the spear.

1. Stone arrows.Things you will need are bow and stone arrows. The pufferfish can be found around the large islands. You might want to craft an oxygen bottle for this fight or you can just simply watch to your oxygen meter.I'm actually always wearing an oxygen bottle and flippers when im diving. It helps me a lot since the pufferfish is not your only enemy in the water. You don't want to forget about the great white ! I haven't tryed to kill pufferfish with stone arrows yet it's not so difficult i just don't really know how many arrows you need ! Not more than 10 that's clear.So all you want to do is just find a pufferfish and get your bow ready.You don't want to aproach him too much because he might get angry and blow himself up which will release a toxic gas or liquid. Don't really know. That's why i advice to use the bow and arrows.So you just have to shoot an arrow at him.Move back a bit shoot again. Just repeat these steps until he dies. You know he is dead when he makes himself a little bigger he turns around and won't follow you anymore.He will just stay in a spot, that means he is dead.

2.The second way is with metal arrows. This is the easiest way. All you have to do is just follow the steps from the first method but using metal arrows. You will only need 3 metal arrows. 3 metal arrows will bring him to death. This is the easiest way to kill the pufferfish. Again, please guys. Don't argue with each other which is the easiest way.Everybody does how he wants . 2+2=4 just how 6-2=4 aswell. There is no good way or bad way there is only hard way or easy way.And this is the easiest way.

3.The third way is with the spear.Again there are 2 type of spears.I advice you to use the metal spear since it deals more damage.Even if you use metal spear you will have to stab the pufferfish at least 5 times, which is more than shooting him with 3 metal arrows and a bit risky, since you have to get closer to the fish to stab him.If you want to challenge yourself you can do it this way. All you need to do is just craft a spear find the fish swim close to him and stab him. Righ after you stabbed him you really really really want to move a bit back. A bit more since it blows himsel up in a radius of 1-2 meter . I advice you swim back like 3 meters wait for him to chill down. Than swim closer again and stab him again. You want to repeat these steps 5 times.Again you have to stab him 5 times with metal spear and more times with the wooden spear.I might go with the second way with metal arrows since you only need 3 shots and you can do it from a distance!

@kbot10 if I remember correctly, the receiver and antenna blueprints drop quite easily in the game from barrels. So you don't really have to worry about that. Instead, make sure you have the space necessary for it and the antennas on the second floor of your raft.

You need to release the arrow right before he throws the stone..he only throws the stone when it's above you..Thats the moment you release your arrow and quickly jump forward...Thats the way you hit the screecher....And you are right..There are small chances to hit him while he is lurking

there's no lure for screecher in peaceful mode... theres 10% chance hitting him while flying but it does get stone once you hit him.. after he drops the stone.. he's back to passive fly mode... again 10% chance of hitting.. hahah
