- 24 turns per year

- 48 playable factions
- Unique flags and coats of arms
- New desert terrain
- 144 x 69 size map of Mediterranea to India

After a few weeks hard work, I'm proud to release the first version of the Great Battles of Alexander scenario.

The scenario is based on the Great Battles of Alexander in Persis from 336 BC (the dead of his father Philip II) till 325 BC when he died in Babylonia.

There are 7 major powers in the scenario. Macedon, Asia Minor, Egypt, Levant and Assyria, Babylonia and of course Persis.

But you might be able to even reach India!

There are 48 factions in the scenario to choose from and the map contains almost 10.000 tiles.

Most of the assets are done (they need finetuning), the factions are done, the library texts, the introduction texts, the placement on the map, resources, technologies and armylists are implemented. But I really like some people play the scenario before I start working on objectives.

My goal is to collect the following information from players:

- How is the performance on your system?

- If you start to play as Macedonia, in which year do you have a significant army available in Persis?

- Every suggestion like faction names, starting positions, city names and historical accuracy is welcome. Help me to improve the scenario and I will update it with objectives and winning conditions as soon as possible.

My goal is after collecting enough feedback to continue. Things to do:

- Visibility at start
- Resources finetuning
- Unique armylists
- New resources
- Objectives and winning conditions

Most of all Enjoy!

This map is basicly missing the Western area of the Map that made Carthage so strong a competitor to Rome, as well as areas that strengthened Rome, i.e. North West Africa, Iberian Penisula (Spain/Portugal), France, and the Islands of Great Britain.

I would like to see the two Maps merged ! At the time that Alexander started his Campaign, Rome and Carthage, particularly Rome, are smaller and weaker.

performance on my system was fine. The AI turn of course takes longer, with more factions.

My first attempt as Macedonia I was in stalemate with the faction to the west of me, forgot the name. Macedonia has to take some time to get a firm grip on Greece before heading off into Asia.

It's a very early setup, you can compare it with the start of a custom map in Aggressors.

I'm very busy atm making real differences between the factions, starting positions and objectives and I hope I can publish a new version this week already.

@gwgardner,

Thank you for the kind message. I will do my best to make this one more interesting with objectives I'm working on now.

Quite an exciting prospect to play this. Your artistry and ingenuity, within the framework of the Aggressors system, is quite wonderful.
