Easiest Way to Finish All Contracts
By Green Tornado
This is a guide for players who still have not completed the TF2 Jungle Inferno and Pyroland Contracts. It describes the strategies I used to completed each contract and what I found to be the easiest contracts to pick. I was able to get the australium contracter relativly quickly with these strategies.

Who this Guide is For
Ok guys I know the ConTracker is old now, but I am still seeing people buy the tickets and start on the contracts in the Fall of 2018, so this guide is for them. I have look around for a guide on the easiest way to do the contracts and in what order, and all I have found was a really general guide on the wiki with general suggestions. So, here is my version and how I got all of the stars and spent all of blood money available. Feel free to comment and give any input, since I did not always choose the easiest path.

A really great way to complete these is to add other people who are doing the contract and join a game together. For some reason people in your party can contribute to your contract, so they can help speed them up just by playing around.

Try to fully complete your contracts before starting a new one. You spend the stars you earn from contracts to get new ones, so by completely finishing a contract you can forget about it and move onto the next one. One contact in particular, "Mercenary World", gives you the Dragon Slayer war paint. This contract costs 20 stars to get, so be sure that you are careful when you unlock it. The dragon slayer paint is a gold paint similar to the australium weapons from MvM, but it is much less shiny and valuable when compared to an australium weapon.

Additionally, if you don't like the contracts in the top corner of your HUD, you can turn them off or on in the advanced settings under HUD options.
Jungle Inferno
Jungle Inferno Campaign
Start: Just be able to get MVP and the rest will come naturally. If you need to quickly score points, play engineer and set up a sentry and teleporters in a good location since that will earn you points.

Offense: Play either Attack/Defend or a Payload map, I recommend the map "Steel" or "Dustbowl" since you can back-cap with a scout army. Easy dominations can be done with a sentry if you don't want to get out in the battlefield. (You really should though if you are playing the game.)

Defense: Same as before with the map selection, but this time I found regular Attack/Defend maps to be the easiest. The best way to get the "Defend the Objective" is to set up sticky bombs on the point, hide out behind a wall, and watch for the capture progress icon to light up.

Mercenary Park: This one is the ungodly hybrid of the last two contracts. Do them the same way but be sure to play carefully and get on the point before it will be captured. Again, use demo for the objective kills.

Mercenary World: This contract you really just need to do well in the game to get. Having a level 3 sentry can definitely help you out though if you need 5 kills in a life.

Core Modes: I chose payload for this one, because pushing the cart will deal a great number of points to your contract. I would suggest the map "Upward" or "Thunder Mountain" since they have long payload tracks.

Alternative modes: I chose DeGroot Keep and I kinda abused the system with this one. Just pick Heavy with the Killing Gloves of Boxing and the Dalohkos Bar. Eat the bar and hang out on point A. As long as you keep swinging while running around in circles on the point, you will own the demo knights pretty fast. They drop a small health kit when killed so just keep grabbing those and swinging!
Offense Contracts
Offense Class: I picked Pyro since I am best with him. If you pick Pyro, play on the map "Upward" and wait for the 3rd point. This is the easiest spot to get air-blast environmental kills.

Offense Weapons 1: I picked the Black Box for this one. If you need easy blast jumping kills, equip the B.A.S.E. jumper and you can stay in the air longer. Also, try a map like "Gold Rush" or "Hoodoo," since these maps have tight chokes that are easy to get rocket kills in.
Advanced Class: Just pick your best class.

Offense Weapons 2: I picked the Phlogistinator contract and I made a huge mistake, I think the backscatter may have been easier to do. I am very used to having air-blasts available to get reflects with. If you pick this contract, I would suggest a map where you can flank well like "Moss Rock." Take either the Thermal Thruster with you or a shotgun like the panic attack. The thruster will allow you to flank well, but the panic attack will be a viable defense for when the enemy sees you. The panic attack has a wide fixed bullet spread that can be helpful for finishing off players.

The Shotgun: Play fat Scout (Heavy with a shotgun for any newer players). I would recommend playing on a payload race like "Hightower." You will be in for the long run since capping is frowned upon, but it will eventually happen so just wait for it.

Advanced Offense Class: I picked the Pyro again since he is my main. If you pick Pyro, use the stock flame thrower for this contract since you need to get reflect kills. The stock flame thrower takes the least amount of ammo for an air-blast making it ideal for this contract. I would recommend just picking the class that you think you can get the whole contract done with the easiest.

Expert Offense Class: Again there really is no trick for this one, just play with whoever you are best with. If you need the dominations, look for someone who you have killed before and focus that person to get the stars.

Banana Bay: For this contract I would recommend playing it just like normal, push the cart and use Demo for defense. If you need easy kills you can play as a Pyro Shark and use the Neon Annihilator.
Defense Contracts
Defense Classes: I picked the Engineer for this contract. I would suggest using the stock wrench or the Jag to quickly place sentries around. If you use the Gunslinger you will have a more difficult time. As always though, pick whoever you are best with for these types of contracts.

Defense Weapons 1: I picked the Fists of Steel which was slightly on the difficult side. You need to block a lot of damage in one life for this contract. I went onto “High Tower” and found a really chill sniper who was willing to headshot repeatedly without killing me. I would suggest doing something similar and find someone who is willing to help with your contracts for this one. If you don’t want to do this, you can always try playing on a payload map and just running around and punching people with this weapon.

Lazarus: This contract is hard since the map isn’t played that much. Generally speaking you can use the Demoman to get the defense kills, OR you could try placing a sentry up in the window above the point to get kills. Soldier works well too if you can get kills while rocket jumping. Generally, players will back off the point if they see a Soldier approaching so you need to sneak up on them.

Advanced Defense Classes: I picked the Engineer for this contract. I would suggest using the stock wrench or the Jag again. I liked to play on Upward and use the typical sentry spot to get kills, but pick whoever you are best with for these types of contracts.

Defense Weapons 2: I picked the Brass Beast which was not that hard. You need to block a lot of damage in one life for this contract. Just play on a map like Goldrush or Dustbowl and utilize the choke points where you can tank damage and get out quickly.

Expert Defense Classes: I picked the Engineer for this contract. I would suggest using the stock wrench or the Jag again. I again used the typical sentry spot to get kills in “Upward,” but pick whoever you are best with for these types of contracts.
Support Contracts
Support Classes: I picked the Spy because I felt that just getting backstabs would be the easiest. There is no trick to this contract, just pick whoever you are best at. *Although I have noticed a trend of the Medic contracts taking more effort than the other contracts in some situations.

Support Weapon 1: I picked the Dead Ringer Contract. This one is very easy, just throw yourself into rockets repeatedly and feign your death. Run away, get health, and repeat for this contract.

Advanced Support Classes: I picked the Spy for this one. This contract is slightly harder, so if you need a surefire way to get easy kills you could try to camp a teleporter. This whole contract really just needs to be done with whoever you play the best with.

Moss Rock: This is a very standard contract with nothing special, I would try really hard to get the kills with the Demoman on the first point, because it is a little bit harder to defend the second one with that train that moves through.

Expert Support Class: I picked Spy which proved to be a bit challenging, just pick whoever you are best with.

Support Weapon 2: I picked the Jarate contract and this was one of the easiest ones I had to do. All you need to do is bomb the objective with the Jarates to get the assists. If you need Jarate kills you can use the Jarate and Bushwacka combo for an easier kill. This is somewhat frowned upon to do, but it is what the weapon was intended for.
Map Specific Contracts
The types of contracts are really all the same on the maps, so I will give a brief run-down of these.

Capture the Flag: Use Scout, Spy, or Pyro with the Thermal Thruster for capturing. The trick here is to run at full speed towards the intell the second the gates come up so you can grab it before the enemy team sets up a good defense. Use all 8 of the Demo’s stickies under the intel in one spot and chill somewhere while watching the capture progress bar for any one picking it up. For some reason, players don’t seem to notice the stickys if you layer them over each other. To do this, stand on top of your intel, crouch down and look straight down. Once you have done this just place all 8 sticky bombs right in one spot.

Payload/Attack & Defend: Just focus the objective. If you need kills on the cart or point, use the Soldier or Demoman to do large amounts of damage. Generally speaking, sentries cannot get these kills easily since players won't go close to the cart if they will be instantly killed.

King of the Hill: Use scout to capture the objectives. I like Soldier, Pyro, and Demo for defense kills. Some work better than others like the Soldier works best on “Suijin” and the Demo works best on “Harvest.” *The Engineer can do well on “Suijin too, but you will be a target many times.
Pyroland Contracts
Pyro: Literally just play Pyro you can get the points just by playing some normal Pyro gameplay. Look for maps like “Goldrush” and Dustbowl” that have narrow choke points. This will ensure that you know where the projectiles are coming from which will give you a better shot at reflecting them.

Dragon’s Fury: This one is similar, look for tight hallways to launch fireballs down. Just time your shots to where the player will be moving to hit them. I also think Dustbowl is great for this because on the 3rd map, there is a long corridor that you can spam fireballs down to try and get kills, or you can use the tunnel shown on the left hand side. This spot is very helpful for ambushing players.

Gas Passer: Same deal, look for choke points or throw this onto a control point where lots of enemy players are to hit many people at once.

Thermal Thruster: There is a lot of confusion as to how to extinguish teammates who are burning. All you need to do to ignite players or extinguish teammates is to blast off with the thruster right beside them. When you first trigger the thrusters, it will send you slightly forward. You can counter this by air-strafing backwards by tapping the “S” key. I would suggest doing this contract on a map where you can flank well like “Steel”. Usually people won’t care if you do this on “High Tower” provided you don’t cap when you are done.

Consolation Prize: This one is easy, you just need to spam bananas everywhere to team mates. “Dustbowl” is a good map for taking damage on and retreating back to safety.

The Hot Hand: This contract is insanely difficult since the glove does low damage. You should try to do it last since it is hard to complete. I would suggest pairing it with the thruster and running around “High Tower” with the sole intent of slapping people. You need to play very defensively and always get to a health pack, so you can get the 5 kills in one life. People are pretty accepting of what you are doing, since you aren’t a really big threat to the fun (like an engineer spamming mini-sentrys). I have heard from many people that it works well in medieval mode on “DeGroot Keep” since there are no guns. If you play on this map, play very defensively because close to every other class will have a melee weapon with better stats or a longer range than the hot hand.
Blood Money and What to Buy
This is very opinionated, but I would suggest going for the keyless campaign cases, buying the most expensive first and working down from there. You have the best chances for a good paint from those. After you buy the limited keyless cases, buy as many of the war paint (locked) cases as possible. If you don’t want to open these, you can sell them for $.050 each (At the time that I am writing this).

Personally I don't like many of the war paints so I would suggest you get any of the factory new paints that you may want for yourself and spend the rest on the cheapest keyless case. Usually the paints you pull out of these are worth about $0.15-0.20 (At the time that I am writing this). The factory new paints that you can buy for 500 blood money only go for around $0.35. You will get more money from the community market in the long run by buying the cheap keyless cases.

This was the strategy I used. It worked relatively well and I got all of the stars and I was able to spend all of my blood money too. Feel free to let me know about your experiences with the contracts and I may edit this guide to reflect your strategies.

Going to Dustbowl with Dragon's Fury doesn't work at all. Games are so chaotic that you'll have trouble even leaving spawn, and if you did, there's 100% no one in sight. Besides "tight hallways" are Soldier's paradise so you won't get far there either (And Fury has trash airblast).
*TO ALL STRUGGLING WITH MVP* 1st of all, u have skill issue like me, 2nd of all, to get it i just basically went 2fort and got an alt account on my laptop to spam go thru the teleports i made as an engi. He got kicked though but i still had a ton of points, went scout and won the game.

*FOR NEW PLAYERS* if you did not know, every time someone goes through your teleporter ( you dont count) you get half a point

Oracle Nerd, there is occasionally times when the game goofs and doesn’t count something that it should. Just keep trying it but if you see the system repeatedly not counting something it should, I would suggest logging out completely and reloading into a different server. There is an off chance that someone might have stolen one of your kills without you noticing, that too could have messed with it!

I am stuck on the Dragon’s Fury “Get 5 kills in one life (3x)” mission. I did it once and it didn’t count. Why?

That was one of the most helpful things I ever had heard about contracts. You deserve an award RIGHT NOW!

i'm not even halfway through the contracts but DO NOT CHOOSE THE BACKSCATTER !!!! its literally the scattergun but like 3x worse so be glad that you choose phlog instead of that. also do not recommend using fat scout (heavy) for the shotgun contract because you will get kicked (like me 10 minutes ago) by tryhards who care about winning more then their family relationship:steamfacepalm:

If you choose contract with black box, and you need to heal yourself 6 times, get medic to shoot at you with arrows, works. (I dunno why xd). Also when you need to kill while beeing at air, if you hit, and someone kills, also count.

Thx man, I wish I would find that guide ealier. (Btw. you can spam through the door with flog before round starts and get charge, or use detonator for example on dustbowl.)
