Some other small notes: Let make the npc barefoot when he not have his shoes and make it really shoes and not (Light armor) boots.
If the voice acting is fixed, maybe you can also remove the quest marker for the shoes and I really like the idea of making it repeatable :p

Dialogue in subtitles went by fast couldn't read however I saw the quest marker near The Drunken Huntsman.
Quest completed without a hitch.
Definitely make it longer, and maybe not have the quest marker literally point to where they're hidden exactly so we have to look around a bit?

Gilgambit, that sounds like a great idea! Will do that now.
I think you need to give more information to the player, the idea of schlepping all over Whiterun for a pair of shoes isn't very appealing.
