Description
Welcome to Deadlock Crater, home of two factions who absolutely hate the F*** out of each other. Why do they hate each other? Should they hate each other? And which faction hates the other the most? Answer... Yes. But the real important part is that they both sit on stockpiles of old abandoned military C grade aviation equipment and anti-air guns conveniently located on an old set of airstrips, built in the middle of an impact crater... out in the middle of nowhere that is the eastern desert of the Empire. This naturally leads to both sides engaging in constant combat for entertainment, hatred of each other, bragging rights, and creates an awesome spectator sport where an occasional flaming aircraft engine lands in the grandstands or through some poor sap's bedroom ceiling.

The two factions have their respective colors of Red and Blu and are angrily divided, but due to sitting on airfields that were once part of the same base also have access to the same stockpiles of aircraft and vehicles. The Base was equipped with a variety of flying machines ranging from Bi-planes and heavy fighters, however there was only one standard truck, a lot of anti air cannons and ton of warheads that weren't doing anything. This ended in relatively balanced fights, overall resulting in a deadlocked conflict that just never really ends.

Unfortunately today there are only 20 Aircraft and machines lined up and ready for combat on both sides... So, the first team to 20 kills wins bragging rights until they smack into a radio tower.

(The map features 3 towers that can be run into and knocked down + two ramable control towers that explode violently)
___

Lining up the roster for machinery there are 4 flyers and 1 ground unit available. Without further obstruction, here they are in all their budget grade, rusted, duct taped together glory. All pilots and drivers are required to sign faction waivers before participating. It has been proven consistently that all aircraft and trucks are highly allergic to fire... smoking or sneezing violently is not recommended.

(The map comes with 5 built in machines accessible by entering playlist mode - Note that the Kamikaze Lancer does not fit in the build box, make sure to turn it off in order to use it.)

Additional Workshop Content

Want any of these aircraft / trucks in your Workshop subs list to use outside of Deadlock Crater whenever you want? Take a look at the Crater Collection, with each its own workshop upload and get the ones you want! Including some of the Machines that were cut from the Map's release.

Bi-plane Gunner

A humble choice for any pilot, that is if this thing wasn't half its weight in guns. The Bi-plane Gunner is the most agile out of all flyers here, capable of doing rolls and loops fast enough to make a new pilot lose their lunch. It however sacrifices speed in order to attain this ability and carry around some decent fire power. Thanks to their lower fire rate they can usually stay firing at maximum for longer periods of time allowing Bi-plane pilots to stay comfortably on the tail of their enemies.

Guns : x4 Mid ROF Machine Guns
Single Engine : Total of x8 Power /w 3 Props
Non-Dive Top Speed : 295 kph

Gatling Fighter

Being similar to its 4 winged cousin, the Gatling Fighter is built to be a little more fast paced and burst focused. While being fast it pays for the extra speed in having less agility and slightly worse survivability... This however does not mean its weakly armed. This flyer is equipped with twin high fire rate Gatling guns for bursting its target with a hail of lead before breaking off and waiting for its guns to slowly reload. It is best used as a fast attack aircraft, attacking and running before losing a wing.

Guns : x2 High Fire Rate Gatling Guns
Single Engine : Total of x10 Power /w 3 Props
Non-Dive Top Speed : 320 kph

Heavy Fighter

Being about as opposite as possible while still flying... is the Heavy Fighter. This flyer is a twin engine fighter bomber that trades speed and maneuverability for being better at handling while missing a wing... or two... It also gets to fly around flashing a pair of low caliber 50mm anti-aircraft cannons at its enemies while blowing them out of the sky or smashing them into the sand with high explosive or armor piercing shells. It may take some skill to land shots but its worth it when they turn another flyer into confetti. It also has a spare Machine gun bolted on in case one of the main guns randomly falls off.

Guns : Twin x5 cannons + x1 Low ROF Machine Gun
Twin Engine : Total of x6 Power per Engine /w 3 Props each
Non-Dive Top Speed : 260 kph

Kamikaze Lancer

With numerous amounts of explosive warheads laying around, quite literally to the point of being tripping hazards. The engineers of both factions arranged a temporary truce until they could come up with a way to use them... The end result was every madman's wet dream, a high explosive device strapped to a pole in front of the aircraft. Requiring sheer balls of steel and incredible pilot skills, a Kamikaze Lancer can obliterate anything in one swift touch... However the pilot must deal with some of the worst turning abilities of any flyer in the crater and it only gets a single warhead per run. At least it enjoys the fastest engine to assist it in poking fun at its enemies, and has a spare crappy machine gun for emergencies.

Guns : x1 Warhead Strapped to a Stick + x1 Low ROF Machine Gun
Single Engine : Total of x14 Power /w 6 Props
Non-Dive Top Speed : 380 kph

88 Truck

Among the numerous Anti-Air weapons lying around was a stash of old Pak 88s... these fit neatly onto the back of the trucks in the stockpile, allowing them to have both Mobile Anti-Air and Home Security. Unfortunately these don't fly (Yet) But they come with a pretty nice and punchy 88mm gun that also tends to roll the vehicle if fired sideways. A well placed shot will turn any aircraft into a rain of spare parts, but it will require a skillful aim. This machine is not safe from harm however and must deal with both Kamikaze Lancers and the Heavy Fighters aside from itself... Its best to keep two eyes open while firing at an enemy or you could end up with a warhead being shoved up your tail pipes at 400 kilometres per hour.

Guns : Single x8 cannon
Single Engine /w All Wheel Drive : x3 Power to each Wheel
Top Speed : 90 kph

Fair enough

It might just be that there are alot of them and each machine is only given 30 arrows per reload tick.

Also, there is a small problem with only one of the crossbows on the Bi-plane being reloaded

Ok

there was going to be an AA truck with crossbows instead of the cannon, and a fast flyer with a flamethrower (but was a bit too overpowered)

Great game! What were some of the other fighters?

In that case I'll release them as their own downloads. Including the ones cut from the map's developent because of the 5 slot cap on built in machines. Expect them in the next few weeks i guess.
