Mike Hanchos Breezehome Tweaks

Description
Welcome Mike Hancho's Breezehome Tweaks
Version 2

NOTE: This mod is not compatible with Hearthfire DLC. If I ever get time I will try to remedy that, but I'm too busy working on another large mod right now.

If you're like me, you're never completely satisfied with the vanilla housing options. While I generally like vanilla Breezehome a lot, it still had some minor issues I was unhappy with. This mod fixes those issues.

This is not a complete overhaul of the home, but it tweaks a few things to make it more functional and to give it a more "open" flow. I tried to stay as close to the vanilla feel but still change the things I felt it needed. As with any mod, you may love it, you may not. These tweaks fit my personal preferences, and may not reflect your tastes.

IMPORTANT UPDATING INSTRUCTIONS
Version 2.0 has been completely re-done from earlier versions and is a MUCH cleaner mod. If you're updating from any previous version YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR GEAR stored in the home if you don't follow the installation instructions. (Don't say I didn't warn you!)

Before updating to Version 2 you MUST make a new save, collect your gear placed in any of the NEW containers added by the mod and save again. (The vanilla containers should be fine.) Update the file, reload the game from your NEW save and stow your gear back where you want it to go.

FEATURES

- Removes the fire pit and cooking pot in the living room and adds a proper fireplace and cooking pot by the Dining Room.

- Adds lots of new storage options.

- Tweaks the lighting to get rid of that horrendous shadow acne and striping.

- Upgrades the beds to the "Noble" style.

- Adds a convenient map marker by the front door.

- Replaces the Dining Table with a smaller version to give more room.

- Adds an Enchanting Station by the Alchemy Station.

- Removed a couple of walls and doors to open the place up a lot.

- Reworked the navmesh to accommodate new items.

INSTALLATION

UPDATING TO V2 - Before updating to Version 2 you MUST make a new save, collect your gear placed in any of the NEW containers added by the mod and save again. (The vanilla containers should be fine.) Update the file, reload the game from your NEW save and stow your gear back where you want it to go.

New users simply download and install using the Workshop Manager and activate it. For manual installation, download to the directory of your choice, extract and place the .esp file in your Data folder.

CONFLICTS & BUGS

Fully compatible with the popular Dovakhiin Hideout mod but should not be used with any other Breezehome mod. In Version 1, I committed the "cardinal sin of modding" by deleting vanilla references. These were very minor edits, but due to the way the game stores save game info it was common to still find these vanilla items still placed in the cell. In version 2, I simply moved these items way below the floor of the house so it's a much cleaner mod. However, your game could STILL have vanilla assets placed in the house, so while it IS much cleaner, it wouldn't be surprising to still find a bit of old clutter around. As with the other versions, just go pick it up and you'll be fine.

As far as I can tell so far, the changes have not affected Lydia in any way, but if you find anything buggy, please let me know.

Much bettter than the vanilla Breezehome, more spacious. The firepit isn't suitable for small houses, so the fireplace is a good solution. But I don't see a chimney outside the house.
Maybe an other (smaller) fireplace on the first floor could be nice when it is could and windy
(you know, Breeze home) ;-)

Love the mod but i think it needs more light. Nice job though.

Dope mod, always loved Breezehome but eventually had to move because of lack of space. This was a good look. Not sure if you intended for the bookshelf downstairs to have activation disabled but it cannot be activated. Small thing though, just a heads up.

@topaz08

That's probably one of the vanilla fire assets left over in yout save. You can try deleting it with the console. Make a NEW save just in case, open the console, click on the fire and type markfordelete. The next time you load it should be gone. This won't happen with a new toon getting the house for the first time.
