A High-End Player's Movement+Damage Build
By Lapinoire
A somewhat revised build of my original guide, focusing on survivability through movement. Pulls out roughly 15% overall damage, but increases survivability by a truckload.

Equipment Preview/Setup
This set is mostly the same from my previous guide, but instead replaces Damage Lv.5(+120 Attack) for Movement Speed Lv.5(+60% Movement Speed). In a way, despite the overall drop in attack, being able to reposition swiftly will also increase DPS in ways you couldn't do without movement speed. For those looking for the raw damage guide, the link is right here:

A Build for those who seek both power and speed, Become LIGHTNING itself!

Again, if you are a cheater, what are you doing here? Go make your own cheated build with cheated gear, instead of copying builds made by a legitimate player, for legitimate players.

Equipment Selection
For this portion, we will be viewing Tanya's equipment.

** The Weapon is whatever weapon the player chooses: this build does not require a specific weapon to function, therefore it is omitted from this guide.

Ornament: Noir Coronet
Crit Damage Lv.3, Active upon taking damage: Reduced Damage Taken Lv.1

Body: El Sarious Armor
Crit Chance Lv.3, Mana Regen per second Lv.2

Belt: Devil Belt
Increased Damage Lv.3

Pants: Beeltrits Pants
Movement Speed Lv.3, Resistance to Fire Lv.1

Wings: Emerald Wings
Movement Speed Lv.2, Resistance to Rupture Lv.2

Pet: Meow
Crit Chance Lv.2, Crit Damage Lv.2
Status Rolls and Carves on Equipment
Status Rolls:
  • x8~10 Mana Regen Per Second Lv.4~5(4x Lv.5 Mandatory)
  • x8~10 Increased Damage Lv.4~5
  • (Optional Setup) Mana Regen per Second Lv.4~5 x 7, Increased Damage Lv.4~5 x 6, Crit Chance Lv.5 x 5

The Mana regeneration is still integral to this build, as it was in the previous build, but this build is incredibly flexible, that the player can run Health, and other defensive stats if they want to be safe. This is just recommended for optimal damage.

Carves:
Red Dragon's Breath
3-piece set
- Resistance to Fire Lv.2
- Increased Damage Lv.3

Breath of the Frozen Tyrant
3-piece set
- Resistance to Frost Lv.2
- Mana Regen per Second Lv.3

Again, this set also does not support a 6-carve set. You will not gain the additional damage from a Carve Set Skill, in exchange, your raw damage will be increased.
Overall Status Gain:

  • Crit Chance Lv.5 (+20% Crit Rate)
  • Crit Damage Lv.5 (+30% Crit Damage)
  • Increased Damage Lv.5 (+12.5% Damage increase)
  • Mana Regen per Second Lv.5 (+30 MP/sec)
  • Movement Speed Lv.5 (+60% Movement Speed)
  • Resistance to Fire Lv.3 (+42% Burn Resistance)
  • Resistance to Rupture Lv.2 (+21% Bleed Resistance)
  • Resistance to Frost Lv.2 (+21% Freeze Resistance)
  • Active upon taking damage, Reduced Damage Taken Lv.1 (+6% Damage reduction/4 sec)
"Why should I use this build over the Raw damage build?"
Covered in various sections of this guide, this build features high movement speed for less damage. If the player plays aggressively, the potential damage is much higher than the raw damage set, simply because the player can reposition to take advantage of Boss Blind spots.

The way to make this build function is the same as the previous build. Start with the skill specified on the weapon, then do whatever skill rotation you want, so long as it maintains the damage buff(lasts for 8 seconds).
Conclusion
This build was constructed due to a person's inquiry on how to make a workable build that offers some modicum of defensive play, without sacrificng too much damage. The answer they came up with was to simply replace Ashir/Deathrock's Pants from my other build to gain some movement speed. After looking through some equipment, the solution came to form in this build.

+60% movement speed
-120 Attack

Pick what matters more to you. The previous build can be found here:

This Movement Speed build was something I was curious about as well, so having two similar, but completely different builds to change it up can definitely be fun.

Good luck, dear player. This set will require the two bosses that most players struggle against. Fight hard, fight well, and you will be rewarded.

I will only accept it if you meet the criteria below:
1- Your Steam level is above level 7 (So I know you aren't a throwaway account)
2- Your profile is not private/hidden.

Plenty of cheaters often have a level 0 steam account. Even if the account does not have a VAC Ban on it, it's still highly likely that Level 0 Steam Accounts are used by cheaters. If your steam account is level 0, comment on my profile, or join the Discord Server.

Thank you, I'll give it a try

Stack damage and Bleed resist for Dancing Blood. For Cabin, you just have to work on your dodges.

Make sure to use Cooldown reduction runes.

Hi, I love all your Dragons Spear Guides, they are amazing. I'm having troubles on soloing from "The night of the Dancing Blood" to "Big snow cabin II" so I can't get some of the equipment from your guides, do you have any build that I can use to solo these chasms? I have unlocked from "Precursor of Disaster" to "The Gateway from the other world" Thank you and sorry for my bad english

Players like myself, Extesia, Urfarah, Kaldor, all of which you probably have played with, love the game very much, and even though our builds are complete, we continue to play. I still stream Dragon Spear, but only for an hour at a time, rather than 4+. I wish I could still play the game as hard as I did in the past few weeks, but when you've gotten to the point that every fight is 40 seconds of repetition, it's hard to continue. But we do so anyway, because the game appeals to both casual and hardcore players.

Even though I say i'm hardcore, i'm actually a casual who just absolutely loves the game.

You can't talk in detail about something you really love until you've actually learned everything about it, right?

This is the basis of my arguments against others(more importantly, you): i've learned almost everything the game has to offer, on all characters(excluding Xenock), and want to tell people all about it.

Also, meant to put "worth", not worse in previous post.

If people get bored of the game, it's not because i've done extreme min-maxing, but because it's sorely lacking content. Many of the Dragon Spear players have stopped playing simply because we have no content. I only hung on because I genuinely love the game.

Anyway, I do agree that my initial reaction to your post came off as super standoffish, and I apologize for that(for what it's worse). However, I still believe that movement speed builds imply that getting hit should never happen, so building some form of character durability shouldn't be necessary.

In regards to being spiteful, aside from the comment I made on the Beeltrits guide, most of that spitefulness goes toward cheaters, or suspected cheaters. For everyone else asking legitimate questions on how to improve, or any question in general, I respond as best as I can, and as respectfully as I can.

Isn't "Alienating legit players" standard fare for any multiplayer game? There will always be the hardcore players who seriously want to do their best because they love the game, and the players who just get on to mess around on their own or with friends. There will always be a great divide, and don't say that i'm the cause of a non-existant split in the community, because it's all the legit players versus the cheaters in this one.
