How to Play Portal - A Lesson in Science

Descrizione
A tutorial map series for those who don't know how to play!

NOTE! READ BEFORE COMMENTING!
This was made for a friend's dad. So, before you criticize my work, think about it. Not EVERY parent is tech-savvy enough to know this stuff like the back of their hand. So these are very SIMPLE tests designed to teach someone like a parent how to play. Especially with the help of their kid who's helping them learn how to play. Don't expect a 12 Angry Tests successor, as I say. Just expect SIMPLICITY.

UPDATE:
- Fixed some aesthetics.
UPDATE 2:
- Changed to Destroyed style.

If you want to continue playing the original, clean-style version, it can be found here:

If you're going to complain on how the main game already does this, take a gander at this list here and see what my point is: http://secminourthethird.deviantart.com/art/Untitled-384290588

===== ALLOS Map Rating =====
0/5; it's a pretty sloppy tutorial map.

Good tutorial!

Yeaah, you. I've seen your work. And so has a fellow mapper friend of mine.
I'd rate your maps, on a scale of 1 to 10, a -5. Sloppy, unaligned and improperly chosen textures, and you can't even do a Minecraft-type map right; import the textures and get the scaling right. You clearly have not abided by the aesthetic rule, in that if the aesthetics are not pleasing to the refined eye, don't release it.

In your Steam window, go to the Tools tab and look for the Portal 2 Authoring Tools. I believe that's where it was; and be ABSOLUTELY SURE to follow this tutorial: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Level_Design_Introduction_(Portal_2)/Getting_Started

Don't release ANYTHING until it's near bug-free and has pleasing aesthetics. Otherwise the disapproval of many professional mappers will be upon your work.

I suck at making maps... I tried and tried. But I can't figure it out. I saw a 5 year old do it and I can't even make a pixel.

Be sure to get some peer reviews on it before even thinking about THINKING about releasing it. Because I warn you, stranger, that if you don't, there's a chance harsh reviews will rain down upon you like a heavy storm. That is, if the veteran mapmakers see it. Anyone who hails from the PTI Editor will likely shower you with applause no matter the quality of the map. As the Announcer says, please disregard any undeserved compliments.

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! Btw, I'm making my first hammer map.
