Information on Arelith builds

Arelith makes a lot of changes from the base game using server hosted tools. Therefore, it would be wise for you to accquaint yourself with the changes in the mechanics from the base game using the links on the servers website and wiki. I will list some helpful ones below:

And remember, Arelith is a roleplay server. It isn't about the strength of your PC, it's about the strength of your roleplaying. Your roleplaying has to fit with your build. Of course, you aren't playing wrong if you don't follow a build. It does make it easier if you're new to NWN/D&D, though. Use this collection as some inspiration, or guidance if you're tired of playing the same old fighter or wizard all of the time.

make whatever character you want. Theres only a handful of builds int he compendium. People who are saying this are META only players and they dont play anything off of it. The ones they list are all specifically for soloing.

Make what you want, fuck what they say. You wont be "left behind"

While I know there goes a lot of work into formatting things to fit into the steam guide version and you are not totally off with mentioning tapatalk, I still think it is worth mentioning that those builds were created by the community nwnecbguild.44 (epic character building guild) back in the day. Thank you for your work. I did notice the Necro-Mage is missing Mummy Dust feat, which is sort of important. I never made a Necro so I cant say much about the rest of the build.

Arelith is a roleplay oriented server, yes. Convincing characters are paramount.

That doesn't mean there shouldn't be mechanical guides available.

If you really want to wing it? You can. Just don't expect to be a powerhouse.

Player versus player is rare enough. Effectively non-existent if you want it to be. Most dungeons are managable with the right party. You won't be left behind unless you intentionally avoid interacting with anyone.

To adress a common argument; Established builds make the world less diverse!

No. That's ridiculous.

What makes a character truly unique, are their actions. Their personality. Your writing style.

If the mere existence of builds is enough to put you off the server, that's your loss. Unfortunate, too, since every server I've ever been on has them.

I do hope you'll at least give the server a shot. I've been playing for years, now, and the roleplay is still just as captivating as it was when I first started.

You clearly didn't read the guide if you think it's "some kind of arena" or getting "left behind if you don't pick the right build" dude. You can have literally any build you want, but you know, if you don't want to get anhillated by anything remotely combat related, you might as well try to build something competent. Mind you, if you don't want to get in combat, you are not forced to by any obligation, just if you enter a situation where push comes to shove, you won't have an option to fight back effectively.

Ah, a much nicer collection. I'll keep this guide up so people can have somewhere to go when looking for builds. I may integrate those builds at a later date. I'm trying to create some more Steam-based sources for people new to the game on this platform. I'm aware this builds are old, so I'll definitely revise the guide when possible.
