MHW: How to get to High Rank fast!

This is to help newcomers/Vets to the series to push out of Low Rank as quickly as possible without having to grind as much.

This guide here is to help all the fresh blood into the series!
A breif description of this guide is to help fight your way through Low Rank so that you can reach High Rank as quickly as posssible without having to go through useless grinding!

The benefits for doing this is to enter the true game while trying to bypass much of the story and Minimize grinding for armor and weapons avaliable in Low Rank.

The Drawbacks for this however is that you will be short on Funds/Research Points due to the weak rewards as well as lack of materials and diversity in your arsenal. However this problem disappears slowly once you reach High Rank!

Through the Forest and Spire

Hunters BEGIN!!

Starting off you will be getting you basic gear before you fight Anjanath.

Start off with your Main weapon you will be taking with you throughout Low Rank. I took the Charge Blade under Great Jagaras Tree. It's best that you go for a monster you can grind quickly and easily like the Jagaras to minimize grinding as much as possible.

As for sets, normally i advise to go for Kulu-Ya-Ku set since it does provide fire resistance but going for a mixed set is also fine. Be sure to also upgrade it as well. Not to much however since you do need those armor sphere's! Here's a quick look at the Armor set I used throughout the first 8 Main quests.

Any mixed set will get you through the Anjanath Hunt!

From the Monster of the Forest to the Flying Wyvern of the Corals and the Hunter of the depths!

Once the Anjanath falls, now begins a small grinding! To carry you the next 4 missions, it's preferable to grind the Anjanath for it's armor or aim for a mixed set before fighting Legiana/Odogaron.
Don't forget to upgrade those weapons as well!!
Here I used a mix of Anjanath and High Metal with 1-2 upgrades on it as well. High Metal is preferable since it's resistance to Ice is effective against Legiana! If you can't get the full set always aim for a mixed either for skill buffs or saving time on grinding!

Legiana is a Ice Wyvern so this set above will serve you well. However Odogaron will bleed you so be very careful when fighting this Apex Predator!

Final push to High Rank!

Once Legiana/Odogaron is defeated, begins the 2nd grind wave! This time for a full set!
Both the Legiana and Odogaron sets with their High Defense and skills will get you to endgame Low Rank and Early High Rank. Ensure all the armor sphere's gathered are put into these sets. Don't worry about spending these Sphere as you get much better one's later!

Here's an example of the gear from Low Rank into High Rank now:

Once you enter High rank you can diversify yourself into the weapons and tree's you want as from this point, the true grinding for gear begins!

Conclusion

By going through this game with a minimalist mindset you can reach the real portion of the game with all the grinding in the world with you and your pals.

Also don't forget to do those optional quests!!!
