Hwach'a Upgrade

Опис
I personally feel that every unique unit should have something that it retains upon upgrading, so here's something for the Hwach'a. Its combat strength has been reduced from 11 to 9 and ranged strength has been reduced from 26 to 20, but in exchange it has gained a free unique promotion that adds +33% strength against land units, which it retains upon upgrading.

Uniques are supposed to change some part of how you play the game. This bonus was made to be large enough so that Korea can use their seige units in place of archery units, but the bonus is small enough that upgraded Hwach'a will simply remain competitive against units through the eras (remember that it stacks additively with other promotions, so that 33% isn't really that huge).

@Dormammu
1) Most commonly, it's just the game being stupid. This is a very common issue with Steam Workshop. Go to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache and delete the file Civ5ModsDatabase.db, which will force the game to reevaluate which mods it has actually downloaded and which it hasn't.

2) If that didn't work, you should also know that if your subscription list is very large (bigger than around 50-60), the game will start ignoring everything after a certain point. Copy mods you want to keep to a safe place outside of your MODS folder, unsubscribe from them, then put them back into the folder. This will let you keep those mods, but cut down on your number of subscribed mods. Once the number is low enough, Steam Workshop will start recognizing them again and will download the rest.

The beauty of the Hw'acha is that you don't have to upgrade them to trebuchets if you're going defense. After that it's artillery and we all know how great that is. Makes Korea a bit stronger yes, but I feel like this mod belongs in the main game. Will use extensively even when playing against Korea. Thanks for the mod. ;)

I see. looks good. I am currently in a hotseat game that is in it's second or third month, so I can't add any new mods till it's done. lol when it is, I will check this out and give a rating.

It has nearly the same values, yes. When upgrading from the Hwacha though, that promotion remains. All unique units really need to have something like that or they become totally obsolete. With this, a Hwacha that upgrades down the line all the way to Rocket Artillery will always be stronger against land units.

so the net gain is it has the same values it has now?

The thing was intentionally weakened to make up for the promotion being given, but I see your point. I've updated this so it now has 22 base ranged strength.

Um... it is downgrade; 120% of 20 equals 24
