Description
UPDATED! (Please read notes and known issues below before subscribing)
The Companions Guild is an elite fighting force with a hidden power. This mod will bring out their true colors in the form of enhanced abilities and powers. This mod is a work in progress, and modifies NPCs belonging to the Companions Guild.

Companions belonging to the inner "Circle" can now utilize their transformation abilities!
-NPC transforms into werewolf form for 60 seconds
-Transformation occurs when taking enough damage from enemies
-NEW: NPC will try to transform when you do!
-Has a knockback ability
-Has a 3 minute cooldown between uses

Additionally, Companions members have had their skills and gear updated

Aela the Huntress
-Now a dual wield and ranged specialist
-added perks for sneak, light armor, ranged, and dual wield

Vilkas
-Added perks for one and two handed, block, and heavy armor

Farkas
-modified heavy armor trainer profile to give better skills (previously had sneak and speech weights)
-Added perks for one and two handed, block, and heavy armor
-Added Wolf armor to default inventory

Athis
-added perks that match his skills for heavy armor, dual wield, and sneak
-Athis is now wearing steel armor and wields a sword and knife with ease

Njada Stonearm
-added perks for one handed, block, and light armor to match her skills
-Njada now wears scale armor (no helm) and wields a skyforge axe and shield

Ria
-added perks for one handed, block, and heavy armor to match her skills
-Ria now wears imperial heavy armor since she is an imperial herself


Future updates will include changes to other Companions members to update their gear/skills

This mod is a work in progress. It may not work with other mods that change Companions NPCs. Please submit feedback below and let me know of any bugs you happen upon. Don't forget to rate!

CURRENT UPDATE: 12/06/2012
-Fixes applied to prevent stuck or frozen NPC during werewolf transformation

Previous Update 03/14/2012
-Adjusted health threshold to try and prevent bad transformation. (now transformation happens at 50% or below) See notes in "known issues" below
-Changed Farkas and Vilkas reaction to crime. Fixes issue where Farkas or Vilkas would not transform back
-Changed Farkas Heavy Armor trainer profile to match his skills (previously had bad skills like sneak and Speech)
-Added block and 1h perks to Farkas and Vilkas

Previous Update: 03/10/2012
-As requested, added Wolf Armor to Farkas' default inventory
-Circle members will now try to transform to a werewolf when you do while in combat! Let the howling and shredding begin!!!!
-Updated skills, perks, and equipment for Athis, Njada, and Ria


Previous Update: 03/06/2012
-Changed health threshold for transformation. Transformation happens at 40% or less health.
-Modified perks for Aela. She was a bit too powerful at higher levels. Now a bit more balanced.

Known Issues:
-NPC sometimes gets stuck in terrain when transforming. Usually will unstick themselves, or fast traveling fixes this.
-Bad transformations (character stuck transforming) occur when the NPC takes too much damage and is staggered or "dies" To avoid this, keep heavy hitting enemies off NPC while they transform. (Or give them better armor :P )

Update: Currently working on porting this over to Skyrim Special Edition. I will be making some of the requested changes from past comments in this thread (Removing Farkas wolf armor, Ria imperial armor.) Keep an eye out in the next week or so on the Bethesda.net mod portal for the new A Perfect Circle!

If you fix this, i would respectfully ask you make a version that does not bother with changing the Companions by giving them perks and misc. Just would like a pure circle mod please. Good luck.

don't bother with this one. There's a bug that causes them to stay transformed no matter what.

During the quest 'The Silver Hand' Aela transformed into a werewolf. Even though I've unsubscribed and deleted the file, she's still stuck and hasn't turned back into a human. Any help?

sp0ckrates, it is possible there is something in the Silver Hand quests that affects NPC factions and causes this behavior. Aela at this point in the quest is technically a neutral NPC that you cannot control. When she transforms she becomes part of the werewolf faction temporarily. Being that there are other werewolves (hostile and neutral) in the area, it might be what is causing this behavior. I will try to look into it more, but in MOST cases it shouldn't cause an issue.

I tested the mod during the quest "The Silver Hand." Aela transformed just fine when her health became low. However, after transforming, she ignored the bandit who was attacking her and passively approached me. When I attacked the bandit, I accidentally hit her, and she attacked me. So I'm wondering if Dawnguard is required, or if it is not required and may be creating some issue ( I cannot remember if I had it enabled or disabled when I tested your mod.)
