Kawanishi H6K Large Flying Boat

The Kawanishi H6K “Mavis”, or the Type 97 Large Flying Boat, was a long range seaplane used by the Imperial Japanese Navy used for maritime patrols, though it was able to carry two torpedoes. Entering service in 1938, they saw service in the Sino-Japanese War and southern Asian areas. As newer fighters started being produced, the H6K became outdated, and was replaced by the H8K.
