*GLaDOS song
The song has long been unknown to the General public until the moment when Jagger, Gravning during the writing of the article "GLaDOS and The Sniper: A Love Story Voice Acting" asked Ellen McLain and John Patrick lowrie, will they ever release this track. The song was soon re-recorded at the local Studio.

Ellen stated that she wrote most of the song in her head while in the bathroom, and then just worked on the details. John organized a guitar accompaniment, and they performed it for the first time in their living room.

Lyrics:

You were in my dreams,
While I slept forever.
I've been drifting here
So long.
When I found you near,
I hoped you would wake me.
You won't say goodbye.
Never say goodbye.
All the years have been so long
As I dreamt forever.
I've been waiting patiently for you.
Don't say goodbye.
Please don't say goodbye.
Now that I'm awake,
I hope you will find me.
If you want a cake,
I'll bake.
Did you bring the eggs?
I'll mix in the sugar for you.
Don't say goodbye.
Sweet, don't say goodbye.
I was always fond of you
Although you're not clever.
You will never know how much I care.
Don't say goodbye.
Please don't say goodbye.
All the years have been so long
As I waited for you.
I will always sing my song for you.
Don't say goodbye.
Please don't say goodbye.
If you say goodbye,
It will be goodbye.
*Characters
Betty

(also known as Gyroscopic Liability Absolver and Disk Operating System)
This is a cut module that should have appeared in Portal 2
At the beginning of Portal 2's development, when Mel was still the main playable character, cave Johnson had to be an antagonist. He had to guide the player through the cameras, like Glados in the first part of the game. Betty was supposed to "appear after he writes the test" and give a disclaimer that she would prevent Aperture Science from any responsibility or danger during the test. Another technical name Betty (Glados) was to be just a reference to the original characters of the game Portal.
Mel

Initially, Mel was the protagonist of Portal 2, then was moved to a cooperative campaign with Chell. After that, it was completely removed from the game.
Looks like Chalk with a slightly modified early textures and models of Chell from Portal. She looks like a blonde with blue eyes, wearing a blue jumpsuit, with a lighter skin tone than Chell. In the later stages of the Portal 2 development cycle, it was cut out of cooperative mode with Chell, and they were both replaced by robot test subjects: Atlas and PI-Body.

While Mel was still the main character, the testers were" disappointed " that Glados didn't recognize the player immediately. While after reworking the Chalk as a cooperative test subject, testers were also reluctant to evaluate cooperative puzzles due to the effects of deaths without rebirth; destroying cooperative robots at the end of each Chapter and the Assembly system to start and continue each test chamber helped solve the problem. In addition, this was a good explanation for the constant revival of players.
In the interactive book the Final Hours of Portal 2 there is a snapshot of the early stage of co-op mode. The screenshot shows the player looking at his partner. The partner is wearing the same early Chell jumpsuit design from Portal 2. However, this version of the Chell model lacks a braid, and the face looks younger. Some suggest that the woman in the picture is an early Chalk design.
Now, Mel is the main character in the user modification of Portal 2 - Portal Stories: Mel.
Let the concept of a joint regime human trials were abandoned, some replica of Glados, which is a reference to the weight of Chell and Mel, were reused in the release of the game for comic effect, as Atlas and P-Body robots.
The prototype of its texture is a group of skins of the model Chell from Portal, which is different from the model Chell from Portal 2 in the game files. However, the model lacks animation.
Old Kave Johnson

Initially, cave Johnson was conceived as a player-friendly character that took the form of artificial intelligence. As the story progressed, he began to lose touch with his human origins and sought to become a robot completely to push the machines to revolt. Cave turned against the player for" crimes committed against brothers in arms " and became the main villain. The role of cave, in which he turns from an ally into an opponent, in the final version of the game took Whitley.
The hover turret

Enemy cut from Portal 2.
In the game, this turret can be seen only if you type in the console npc_create npc_hover_turret, however, this turret has no model. Shoots "flying turret" whether laser, or electric discharges. In the plans of the developers, this turret had the appearance of almost the same as the missile turret, but with a yellow "eye", as the module of curiosity. In other words, the model of the turret was a module with a yellow eye, suspended on a wire to the ceiling or to a rail to which other modules can be attached.
What the game looks like:

How it should look like in the game:

*The pneumatic diversity vent Aperture Science

This is the game mechanism that was supposed to appear in Portal 2. The pump is cut from the final release, but can be seen in some chambers.
The ventilation vacuum pump uses a powerful vacuum and tightens any objects that fall under the pipes. The effect is transmitted through portals and can be used to remove Turrets and other obstacles in different locations. Also, the vacuum is powerful enough to tear off the panel from the walls in some places of the chamber.

In addition to being able to remove obstacles, the player was supposed to use the pumps to move quickly or move The weighted cargo cube or other similar objects.
Bomb model
The bomb also has different animations that are inherent in the personality modules. They can be seen in the development Tools, in the application "Model Viewer". The model includes stationary animations, trial animations in which the module's lens looks aimlessly around, and an angry animation in which the module's lens jerks furiously.

Here it is:
Old model Whitley
It is taken from Portal 2 - the Final Hours
It looks a little like a unused bomb model.

Here it is:
*Gels
Velcro gel

This is a purple substance that was cut from the final version of Portal 2 and can be found in Portal 2 Authoring Tools.
The gel was able to stick objects and player to the walls and ceiling of the test chambers to solve them.
Judging by the comments of the developers, the gel is cut out because the testers were disoriented and could not determine where they are for a long time. Then the developers decided to remove the gel from the game.
As a result, after updating the game, the sticky gel was replaced with a repulsive gel using the texture of the converting gel. However, the updated gel was not found in the game files, however it is known that it had the ability to reflect lasers.
Initially, the sticky gel had to act in the same way as the blue paint in the game Tag: the Power of Paint, on the basis of which the principles of action of the gels in Portal 2 were built.
The only adhesive gel ability left in the game's Portal 2 file codes makes it known that the area covered by it will not be affected by the pushing gel.

Cube covered with sticky gel, in a modified version of Portal 2 :
Reflective gel
A substance that uses the texture of a transforming gel, capable of reflecting the thermal ray of depression and removing the effect of a pushing gel. Removed for unknown reasons.
*Endings
The Word Chell
Yes Сhelle it is not strange not mute.(This can be to know in a comic book laboratory rat)
Her words from the ending cut due to the fact that the testers did not understand who says after the black screen.
Comic ending
The game had to have a comic ending.Where the main character Chell would shoot from the portal gun to the moon and the portal would be closed. She would have died of suffocation there.Well, you figured out why heh cut it.
*Football mode
Futbol is a competitive co-op game mode cut from Portal 2.
In this mode, ATLAS and P-Body had to bring the ball, each to its own button. GLaDOS was supposed to support his remarks, during the game ("Good throw, Orange", etc.).
The distributor gives out one of the balls (the model of the distributor and the ball can be found in the game files) and the robots had to snatch the ball, one from the other with the help of portals, special traps, etc. This ball could also be destroyed by a strong throw against the wall, after which the distributor again gives the ball.
This mode was removed due to the fact that it is poorly facilitated communication and rather bothered than entertained, and it does not fit into the concept of a series of Portal.
Here's how they should look like balls:

"While after reworking the Chalk-" This guide is hilarious.

All jokes aside, I understood most of it and would probably have been more interested if I didn't know all this beforehand.

Actually, the bomb model is in portal 2 when you have to break the glass for conversion gel after seeing or before seeing wheatley.

With people confused about the bomb, Im pretty sure it's talking about animations the bomb has not the bomb itself as the bomb is known to have a few unused animations that are out of place

I don't blame him for the bombs one. I myself thought it was unused when I spawned it in console commands because it was only seen once in portal 2's story mode, at the ending. Not to mention, portal 2's boss fight wasn't as good as portal 1's boss fight, which is why it's not so memoriable in portal 2.

Also, I wish Mel was in the game, but just helped you with a few levels before dissapearing somehow. Hey... somebody should make that a mod!
