Paladin guide

I first turned down the palain because it didnt have a def bonus on its seals. But when i play as him again he is not half bad, actually he is the best melee class. Now i make a guide for player who want to adventure further as a paladin.

Role

The paladin has one major role and that is: buffing his teammates and himself. The paladin uses swords and can buff himself and teammates by using a seal.

Main weapon

The paladin uses swords as his self defense.
The sword deals the highest dps and that is causes by its big damage on hit.
The downside about it is that you need to get really close to the enemy to hit him.
The paladin does not have a lot of attack power just like the priest who heals too.

The seal, the almighty ability that makes the paladin superior.

The special item of the paladin is the seal, during the seal's effects the hp regeneration will be boosted greatly and your weapon hits 50% harder. Using it on a team can turn a small group into a menacing drill made of flesh and blood that drills through the enemies like they were made of paper (poor paper golems) because the damage bonus greatly powers the weapon up while the health regen patches you up. DO NOT rush into a lot of enemies while under the seal's effect EVER! Even though the effects are on that does not mean you are invincible. Only do this if you want to be a ghost paladin so be careful even when you are under seal effects. Higher seals cost more mana to activate but the effects last longer and you can affect more people with it.
The seal of the blasphemous prayer is special since although its effects and range it grants the user +5 speed and 1,4 SECONDS OF INVINCIBILITY on activation. May not seem much but if you activate t you might escape that hit that could otherwise kill you while letting the effects do their patching work but it costs more mana than the highest normal seals so be cautious when using it.

Armor

Heavy armor fucuses on defense and you will need that as paladin to stay alive and healthy so get good armor first! The paladin has the lowest defense of all heavy armor classes so when you are at candyland hunting grounds you should be on the lookout for that fancy candy coated armor that gives most defense but sacrifices dexterity but because the paladin isnt that offensive it should not bother you too much.

Stat maxing

The paladin is fairly hard to max since he has a very short range so you need to stay at the lesser godlands at first to go to snake pits for easy SPD potions. After that you should go primarily to dungeons because there you can use swords better and cap stats. Still leave abysses alone until you got max defense and speed (got that lesson when i was overwhelmed by brutes).

i recomend doing abyss of demons to max his def and vit but you should definitly take them slow at first since unmaxed a palidin is squishy and make sure you have good enough gear to do the dungeon.
i say this because pally is probably my best class and i have a lot of expierience on a unmaxed and maxed pally. :D enjoy RoTMG
