Improved Thieves Guild Boots

Description
ATTENTION: Starting from Unofficial Skyrim Patch version 2.0.0, the pickpocketing bug is fixed: "Your chance for success at pickpocketing would actually drop as more powerful enchantments were applied to you. (Bug #252)"

Changes enchantment on Thieves Guild Boots, Improved Thieves Guild Boots and Guild Master's Boots. Enchantments on all other Thieves Guild Armor parts, as well as the item stats are unchanged.

Thieves Guild Boots (Normal ones you get after joining the Thieves Guild):
From Fortify Pickpocket by 15% to Fortify Sneak by 15%
Thieves Guild Boots (Improved ones, you can possibly get them after you complete the Scoundrel's Folly quest in the Thieves Guild Storyline):
From Fortify Pickpocket by 25% to Fortify Sneak by 25%
Guild Master's Boots (You get them after completing the Under New Management Quest and becoming the Thieves Guild Master):
From Fortify Pickpocket by 35% to Fortify Sneak by 35%

The reason I created this mod is a bug in the game; basically it makes all Fortify Pickpocket Enchantments in the game lower your chances of succeeding instead of increasing them.
Here's how Skyrim Wiki describes it:

Any form of Fortify Pickpocket actually subtracts x% from the success rate when it should be adding that same x% to the success rate.
E.g., Thieves Guild boots subtract 15% chance of success instead of adding 15%.

This bug is well-known and present on all platforms. It still is present in the version 1.9.32.0.8 of the game.

I think it's no longer needed because the bug was fixed either in one of the official patches or one of the Unofficial Skyrim Patches

If you want it just for stats... I really can't say, haven't tried in a long time. Sorry.

If it doesn't work please comment here, I may look into it.

I know you don't update this at all anymore, but will this still work?

Haven't fiddled with Skyrim modding for years now, don't even have the game/tools anymore. I'll look into it, but don't expect a patch soon, unfortunately. :/

Mad legit, cause you dont pick pockets with youre feet, but, just a suggestion, either as a new mod or update for this one, to add the imrproved pickpocket along with the lockpicking on the gauntlets, if you could, please do, myself and others im sure will be grateful.

glad to see someone fix this. never understood why pickpockets would be on a pair of boots and not sneak

This bug is not always present, to be exact, but on like 90% of all occasions. I think it appears after you get the Cutpurse perk (Pickpocketing gold is 50% easier), or your pickpocket skill is above 50-60. This perk is completely bugged in several other regards as well. For instance, with a pickpocketing skill of 100, you have like 63% chance to pickpocket 1650 gold, and 0% chance to pickpocket 1700; or something like it. Just experiment with it, and you'll run into it eventually :/
