My advice is seriously don't bother fighting anything but hill bandits until Bernard gives you master strike. Combos are great and all but once you got that youre at least gonna live long enough to unlock them.

Nice video, did not know about combo chaining I will definetly try that. There is only one thing I would add that might be common knowledge but I only found out on my second playtrough. It's that you can angle your stabs and not just your slash strikes. My favourite combo is a master strike followed by a stab in the face. It takes most enemies down in 1-2 hit, and only enemies with helmets that have a faceplate have any kind of defense against it but even those enemies lose 10-20% HP most of the time.

Some good tips. I'm terrible. I think for now I will use some saves and just practice combat. Then restart the game after I get better.
