AllGameMaps however provides it in a direct, clear and highly customizable way. No more skipping through that YouTube walkthrough to find that one moment, scourging trough that wiki or posting on forums with several helpful people telling you to git gud.

In addition to high quality maps we also provide a custom map system which you can use to place markers on important locations and share with your friends.

Wherever possible we develop smart tools that will help you accomplish the goals specific to the game you are playing. With these maps you can empower your gameplay and bring it and your character to the next level!

Shareable maps

Map creation

The image above is the form you will need to fill in in order to create your own map. In this block we will tell you what every field is used for.
Name
Simply the name you give to your custom map.
Description
A small description about your custom map so everyone in your group knows what this map is about.
Extends from
Select what map you want to us to place your own markers on.
Add group
Which group do you want to invite to this map. This group can be created by yourself or you being invited to the group.
Extra marker slots
Every custom map comes with 50 free markers. If you want more markers you can earn them by publishing markers that we can use on the public map or simply buy[allgamemaps.com] more.
Share publicly
If selected it will generate a unique URL that you can send to people in order for them to see the map (people using the URL do not have the rights to edit or add new markers).

Custom map

The image above is showing a custom map with a marker placed on it. This section will tell you how you can add new markers, edit markers or delete markers.
Create a new marker
To create a new marker you can go to the sidebar and drag and drop a marker from the available markers.
Edit a marker
To change the position of a marker you can simply drag it to another place. In order to change the title or description you can click on the marker and select the edit option.
Delete a marker
To delete a marker simply click on the marker you wish to delete and select the delete option.

Not entirely sure if we're gonna add that feature, it's not just a simple plug and play, image needs to be cut into 256/512 tiles among other things..
It's possible, but it's not anything we plan to do in the near future.

Yeah, the thing with abberation though(if I'm correct), is that it has areas underneath other areas and thus colorizing them wouldnt really work for those parts(since it's a 2D map) cause certain areas just simply wouldnt be visible.

This is such an awesome idea and was something I was hoping existed. It would be incredibly helpful if we could have custom Ark maps though. Could it be as simple as just making the background 'map' image configurable? I'd love to get involved if you need another pair of hands to help implementing features (I'm a software engineer).
