Ubuntu Font

This mod changes the default fonts to the Ubuntu font for better readability.

To be honest, I wasn't too thrilled to see the Arial font being used in the game.
It's overused and just plain ugly in my opinion. Looks like something you'd use in a spreadsheet at work, not while you're having fun with a cool game.

This mod aims to improve this by replacing the following fonts:
arial.ttf (Arial)
huge.ttf (AndrewBeckerAntique-Heavy)
slingbold.ttf (Sling Bold)
edo.ttf (Edo)

The font I picked to replace them is the Ubuntu font (available for free at
High readability and stylish to boot.

Mod authors are free to use this in any mod or compilation they wish, no approval required.

NOTE: This mod changes TARGET_HEALTH_BAR.LAYOUT, so might be incompatible with various HUD mods (such as SimpleHUD). If you want to use those mods in combination with this one just make sure to give the HUD mod a higher priority in the modlauncher. This way my alignment fixes will be lost but the HUD mod will work properly.

Got some problems with it. For example at character creation screen when typing my name, can't delete leters or numbers after I type. Is really weird.

Since this font mod is the most requested in mod packs, I decided to share my fix to the vertical alignment of the ubuntu font that this mod uses.

This will also free up the "Target Health Bar" layout from any modification.

If anyone is interested, please download my unpublished remod

I don't see a difference. Might just be my poor eyesight, though.

Vanilla as it Should Have Been

We would like to know if it's okay for us to consider using this or recommending this in our mod pack?

also if you could recommend this to others if we decide to use it?

and I will gladly delete this comment if you wish me to do so.

Credits and links will be provided in description if used.

It's an improvement and much more readable than the original Font. But the font-rendering of Torchlight II is just blurry and I don't think this can be fixed by a mod.
