Tips & Tricks

Saving

By doing so you will save everything, but you will always need to restart from the beginning of the chapter. It's a better way to not loose all your red orbs mostly and do not need to restart all secret missions or redo all combat adjudicators.

Before proceeding after your first with the Glutony demons, jump onto the left pipe above the door, and Wall Jump from there up to an alcove, where the Fragment is located.

At the start of the mission, and is impossible to miss.

At the right of the door where you use the soul of steel.

After using the soul of steel. It's the strange looking face with red eyes on the wall behind the lift.

After getting all stones, use the 3 stones to get the weapon.

Dark Corridor
Jump up the wall to the right of the door on your right-hand side and it will be above the light. Easier path - get them to the door so you can jump on them most of the time.

Blue Fragment #4

Pitch Black Void
Ascend the stairs heading towards the exit. Now, Wall Jump (or Air Hike) up on
top of one of the lower archways crossing the ceiling. Jump to the upper level
and carefully jump to the eastern arch, where the Fragment is located.

Leviathan's Stomach
You'll see a pirate ship from the ledge you climb to, it's in the hull of the ship. You need to break a barricade to get in. This one might be difficult or impossible to attempt at this time.

Following the path that lead up then cross the bridge, on the left.

Jump onto to the deck of the ship to find the Fragment.

Go through the area on the left side until you reach an opening at the left.
Switch between combo and use other attacks when needed.

Method 1 : Trickster Lv.1 & Air Hike needed. xx,xxx red orbs.
Method 2 : Trickster Lv.2 needed. Sky Star of Ebony & Ivory

Subterranean Garden
This Fragment is located above the Divinity Statue. You will need to use Air
Hike and Trickster to reach the area. You can do this one of two ways.


1. Wall Hike on the wall left of the Divinity Statue. As soon as you see Dante
do a leap at the end of the Wall Hike, immediately Air Hike into the platform
above the Divinity Statue.

2. This requires Level 2 Trickster and Ebony & Ivory. Do an Air Hike in front
of the Divinity Statue, then shoot once with Ebony & Ivory, immediatly
followed by a Sky Star. Dante will float a little higher when you fire Ebony &
Ivory once.

Subterranean LakeNear the door you came from, on your left behind the destroyed wall and above the ceiling.

You won't obtain the Devil Arm, "Nevan" until you complete Mission 9, so you
will have to destroy this Combat Adjudicator on mission 10.

Limestone Cavern
You should see an opening on your right. Jump up there, follow it around until you see the red crystals and press B on them.

Secret Mission #6

Subterranean Lake
It's to the right of the statue you gain access to with the Stone Mask. You need Air Raid (20000) of Nevan in order to do it.You really need to have Nevan equip otherwise you will glide and not hover and it will be impossible.

Near the door needed to proceed, on your right behind the destroyed wall and above the ceiling.

Before taking the door, on your left there is a ledge with this item.

Altar of Evil Pathway
At the entrance, Air Hike to the pipes overhead. The Fragment is located in
the alcove. You can also wall jump too.

Move the statue to get below.

Temperance Wagon - Agni & Rudra - SS Rank
This Combat Adjudicator is located in a small space under the stairs. You also
go back this area during Mission 12, when you have Unlimited Devil Trigger, so
it would be easier to destroy the statue, but your health is also decreasing.

About halfway down, you'll notice one light feature is red. Press B on it.
You might want to use Agni and Rudra to deal extra damages to spiders.

Entering from the door, on your right at the dead end at top of the wall.

Vestibule
After solving the light puzzle, look in the room you broke the wall to enter into for a torch on your left. It's in an alcove above that torch

This Fragment is obtained after proceeding through the final gate, which is
necessary to continue the Mission, so no guide is needed.

If you come back were it all started, taking the Subground Water Vein warp, you will get this awesome orb.

Above the door were you came from, wall jump on the left.

When the red eye appears after using the red Demon Crest, just attack it.

And again you can get some orbs there.

Top Subterria Lack
You will have to hit the Demon Crest twice at the Top Subterria Lack area.
Now, just go through the Marble Throughway, Devilsprout Lift, and descend the
spiral staircase to reach the Underground Arena. The Fragment is out in the
open around the area, after dropping down.

Cursed Skull Chamber (middle door of entranceway)
At the opposite of the exit.

Secret Mission #10: Mission 16 - In the Waking Sun Chamber. It's on the right-hand side in the alcove that opens up after you destroy the ball. The door looking part of the wall.

Near the column with the blue glow.

Mission 17 Prerequisites

You might need the Beast Uppercut for 7500 orbs or even the "Dragon Uppercut" at 15000 orbs.

After slaying all the demons.

In the room that was the entrance to the three different trials earlier on in the story. You might need the Swordmaster style since you need to attak in air for its second form.

Secret Mission #11
Pitch Black Void.
Jump up into the rafters/beams above you and look for a statue that is lit up. For this you might need the Strickster style.

Follow the path and climb up on the right of the foot, then drop down.

Secret Mission #12:
Road to Despair
Instead of getting through the warping mirror. Go on the foot and follow a hidden path on the left to get to it. The easiest way is to use the Trickster style Lv.2.

Lost Souls Nirvana
To obtain this Fragment, you must light all the gems in the large monolith by
defeating all the previous bosses again. When you do this, the Fragment will
drop from the sky to you.

Not sure if it's Mission 18 or 19, but in the Room where you have to attack the mirrors, you can (wall-)jump up to the chandeliers. On one of them there is a Vital Star L.

Every other resource I looked up also says Mission 4 only has the one fragment in Incandescent Space (which you label as #3 but really seems to be #2).

You should also mention that beating Combat Adjudicator 10 (Beowulf SSS) in DMC 3 Mission 17 is much easier with the swordmaster style. "Real impact" attack (opens on style lvl 3) will give you a significant advantage in this challenge

There's only 1 blue fragment in DMC 3 mission 4. The one above the door. I couldn't find any information about the blue fragment #2 in other DMC guides

I've almost done chapter 17 and after that I'll most likely need to only update mission 18. I don't think we can get stuff in mission 19 or 20.
